I went down to the TAB and COLLECTED my half divie for Gatt as the results said GATT and LEVER.
5 minutes later I checked and they had changed the rider of Brute Bernard from P Gatt to T Baker on the screen for race 5 and had taken down the JC results for Strath in the results section.....

Bad Mistake by TAB and I hope they paid for it!!!!!!!!! I collected $300 that I shouldnt have..... but phew I was just in time......how could they make such a blunder?? In the paper it said T Baker and T Mac called it T. Baker in the call..... do they not check with official results ???

AG was 100% sure T Baker was on it. again the great man was spot on.... and his other tip won.

this has just been put up......

Strathalbyn 3-2-1 30/12 79627 Lever Chad Win

Their scorboard still reads...

P Gatt 2 1 0 8.00
S Price 1 1 0 5.00
Other Unlisted Jockey - K DYSON(A) 1 1 0 5.00
Other Unlisted Jockey - R PLUMB 1 1 0 5.00
M Neilson 0 1 2 4.00
O Ay 1 0 0 3.00

Unbelievable!

their stuff up, they pay both...... There is also a case here for Lever backers to win outright....
They stuffed up, pay out in full to Lever backers
& pay out half div to Gatt backers....

Gatt was riding Brute Bernard according to TAB at the time of jump (AND AFTER)
If Baker was down to ride Brute Bernard (a fave) would Gatt backers have jumped on??? NOOO....

This is a disgrace... and just out of principle, we should never touch TAB again.... JOKE

+ why should you have to put it in writing WiW???? Who has time to do that!!??

Racing not the best today at Gosford or Echuca, that means I follow my rules of picking the better jockeys at these meets. Will wait to see the odds for Cassidy, Brown & Robl at Gosford and a favourite of mine.. Yendall against any country jockeys (Echuca).

Quick look I like the following..

Scriven/Bryne in Ipswitch
Nielsen in Pt Augusta
Adams in Nowra
Yendall in Echuca
Undecided in Gosford... will depend on who picks up the ride in the last which is a very good shot.

Re: Jockey Challenge

Morning all,

I hope everything is well and we all are enjoying the festive season and some well earned holidays (there are exceptions -dodgy ;) ).

I had calls and overloaded explained to me the predicament yesterday with confusion over who was riding Brute Bernard in race 5 at Strathalbyn? COnfusion ... what f***ken confusion? The press had it marked T Baker, the race caller called it T Baker and Cozy and Greeny didn't know how the helll the TAB ever got the idea that Gatt was on it, It was news to him.
So it seems they paid out for half an hour or so on the tie and I say well done to overloaded for getting his $300 and anyone else who collected but.... what about the novice punter who backed Lever and put their ticket through in that half hour and got a half divie are the TAB going to chase them up and give them what they are entitled to? I don't think they will!! Pathetic service and they should be boycotted by all.

Moving onto Port Lincoln Today.... Poor raceday and we will see plenty of short priced favs.

I have them finishing like this on my points system

Nielson 12
Hoppo 9
Hopwood 4

It is a dead set 2 jockey challenge... Nielson has 5 rides and all are chances. they all range from $1.40 - $4.60. Hoppo has same 5 rides but and certain 2/3 pointers in race 2 , 3 which will see him right there..... A good quinella and it will be interesting to see what sportingbet quinella price is put up (hopefully more than $1.00 like they did that day at Balak with Gatt and Lindop, and it still didnt come in  )
I lean to Nielson just.
If Lever doesn't make the flight (as he has only 1 ride, and you need 3 rides to get a free flight over) so that means the trainer or connections will have to pay for his flight. His only ride is Ziparoo so presuming he doesnt make the flight the only jockey left to ride in that race is P Roff, so if they leave it as 'not notified' for a while you know who is on it.

My market.

M Hoppo $2.30
M Nielson $2.10
L Hopwood $10
S Price $15
Roff $21
Stojakovic $51
Westover $51
AOJ $21

Race 1...
Miaconi should win but not taking $1.40

Race 2
1,4,5 boxed tri

Race 3
1,3 quin

Race 4
Stable confident with Reliable Tradesman. Arazi Sea late scratching

Race 5
Like the Legal Move and Tuscdan Sea quin. throw in #12 into multiples.

Race 6
Ziparoo best bet of the day.

Race 7
Covet The Lot should go close again. Gallipoli Beach to give a big sight from the rails.

Good punting and keep up the good work
