Bailey would be a chance but also Khawaja might start to be looked at.

Or

Watson moves to 4, and you put a Opener in. There are a few options. Such as Rogers and Hughes. But also Jacques is slowly starting to show some form.

So where are we at with the Hussey debate now?

121,66,41,29,82,17,82 in his last 7 innings.

Is the pressure off?

Not at all, but he's safe for the rest of this series. He only needs a couple of failures and the pressure is right back on. This time next year he needs to be making runs against England. I would hate if he does just enough against New Zealand, Pakis and Bangaldesh in the coming series and there fail when it counts in the Ashes against a decent attack. Lets face it he should of been dropped a year ago.

A quality cricketer with the bat and in the field.

I dont get it why some want to see the back of someone as good as this bloke!!! Back him in he is a gun and would bat in any side in the world.

Putting in the second innings of the last test of the lost Ashes series is a bit misleading. That whole series was a disaster for him, last innings of the series notwithstanding.

This summer he's 66,41,29,82,17,82,4. 321 runs at 45 which is a good average despite still looking out of form at times against soft bowling attacks.

As I said somewhere else he's done a decent job so far this summer. I can't knock a 45 average.

Coming up to age 35 though the pressure won't be off for the rest of his career. There's no improvement left in Mr Cricket so it's a matter of when the decline starts if it hasn't already.
