Yeah, it's a good course, nice and open so it tends to be pretty forgiving, unlike the forest trees at Renmark.

I like the forest trees, i prefer to be under them than on the fairway.

You won't get sunburnt at Renmark. Lol

I hate how every course has a tee in front of the clubhouse at some point.

It's a good course to play on when you have a buggy and an esky and a few mates.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No

The blokes from Chris Sinko Ford were having a day out on the Renmark course on Saturday morning. I think the new pro had an eye opener!! 20+ blokes were maggot at 11am and gave the course and buggies a real hard time. Good on em.

i played a round at North Adelaide last weekend, course was in great nic, really nice fairways (not that i was on them that often) and greens were almost perfect. ended up with 104 (52, 52) which is my best round there, sadly... still can't break the ton!!!

anyway it was very slow and me and my mate joined up with another pair in front of us. one of the blokes is a member and i'm not sure if i heard him correctly but i think he said membership is $220 up front and $25/fortnight after that. is this correct? in effect $870 but that's pretty affordable really. and if you are a member can you have a guest play with you for nothing? and how does that compare to other courses?
I am not talking to you for 3 minutes because you punched me in the head and it hurt and that was not okay for you to do

Anyone played there?

Any other courses down that way that people can reccomend?

Haven't played Kingston but have played Robe, which is a nice course, Beachport which is fairly flat and simple and one of the courses in Mt Gambier that was very nice...

Can vouch that Kingston SE is a good course. They have made some changes in recent years to extend the course to 18 holes. Previously you played to the same greens but from different tee blocks. Also had to be careful of crossing other fairways etc. in front of tee blocks.
I play there approx 2-3 times per year including their annual Crayfish day in January, which books out 12 months in advance.
Robe also good - spectacular views over the back beach from some of the holes.

I believe Meningie is also a good course - however unsure now due to access to water.

Enjoy the SE courses.

Anyone finding themselves up this way (god knows why you'd want to) could try a round at the Dunkeld and Birnham course as pictured earlier in the week ;)

Played the South course at North Adelaide on Sunday morning...

Was still feeling a bit poorly at 7am after some Boxing Day celebrations and this was reflective in my game on the front 9...

Ended up with 50 even despite not being able to hit the fairways off the tee but okay short game and very good putting saved the score from being in the high 50's...

Decided to leave the driver in the bag and hit 3-wood off the tee and it worked well for the back 9 with improved short game and contuniued good putting seeing me come home with 42...

This included 5 consecutive pars and after duffing a simple chip on 17 (ball went at right angles from my aim  ) I managed a chip on from off the green to save a bogey...

So whilst a bad start, was pretty happy with a 92. I either need to get to range and hit my driver a bit or just stick with the 3 wood off the tee, before playing at Willunga next Monday...

Funnily enough I usually golf OK with a hangover...as long as I can see the ball on the tee

Played Murray Bridge on day after a late night (stayed up there the night before and thought we'd be OK to carry on until tee time). Seriously saw 3 balls on the first tee, managed to top my way through hole 1 with a 7. Slowly recovered, by the time I had 'freshened' a bit I came home, back 9 in even par! If only I hadnt had 46 on the front it could have been a great score...

Point of story- dont drink and drive (Use an iron)

Well, I ended up playing a couple of rounds at Robe and was very impressed, and surprised!

Some great holes on the back 9 with awesome views.. Also managed to buy 20 quality balls from local kids for $5!

Heard some great reviews about the Millicent course, spewing that I didnt get a chance to play...

Just got home from Willunga and had a 94...

Course isn't too bad but some of the greens were hacked up a bit, others were beautiful...

All in all, a pretty good round, despite suffering hay fever big time out there :?

Ended up at Wirrina on new years day

Played very average- hit an 87- 1 birdie, and only 2 pars. Couldnt putt. Course in pretty good nick. Make sure you hit the fairways

My mate on the other hand had his best round ever, hitting an 85 including 3 birdies (He is off 20).

I'm gonna hear about it for quite some time...

South Lakes this Sunday- gonna be warm!
