Zooper Doopers..... just love 'em !!!!
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

My new neighbours to be, currently building a new house next door to us, just knocked on the door and handed us a huge basket of imported beers etc etc, heaps of red and white wines, must be over 500 bucks worth there, think i am going to enjoy them as neighbours somehow ;)

My butcher...after defying the laws of physics and not falling over on the ice despite the best efforts of gravity and a lack of friction...I collected my pheasant (look it up on Wiki if you don't know) and he knocked 20% off the price for no reason and gave everyone in the shop a wee dram...of single malt  :ymhug:

Also...I think I might have found a way of seeing what some bits of Adelaide look like from the comfort of the computer chair ;) and I thought you lot were exaggerating when you whinge about other drivers

It's the kangaroos who actively leap in front of passing cars you have to watch for, JAS.
They graze on the side of the road where the occasional rain run off creates some green grass, then when the lights hit them they become confused.
9 times out of 10 they then leap the wrong way...

 we call them sheep over here...you wouldn't believe how many times a sheep will change direction whilst dashing across a road. On the islands they lie in wait in ditches and jump out at unsuspecting drivers...b*****ds...closest I've ever got to being in a serious crash...thankfully my mate had the sense not to swerve to avoid it as there was a 4 tonne Army truck coming the other way.

Listening to Junior Choice Christmas with Ed 'Stewpot' Stewart on the radio (the show was on daily in the 70's)...heaps of old naff songs being requested like Ernie, Captain Beaky, Rupert the Bear, The Runaway Train...great fun :D

Sure was! Couldn't believe my eyes when I opened the card. My Mum and Step-Dad came along too. I got 4 tickets for them and 'two friends' back in July that turned out to be my tickets.

Sneaky lot.

Had an extended lunch at a mates house today. Washed down 8 or 9 brews from 12:30 till about 8:30, when I decided to sprint to catch the 8:39 at Glenalta station.

I didn't realise that the second part of the sprint was going to be up a steep hill. Didn't help that I had a gut full of grog and BBQ meat.

The train pulled into the station when I was still 30 metres away. With every ounce of willpower I propelled myself forwards, arms flailing wildly to catch the attention of the driver. Managed to stagger to the door, tear it open and collapse into the nearest seat - right in front of the conductor and security guard.

The conductor, appraising my heaving, sweaty mass, convulsing on the seat, noticed I was reaching for my wallet to get the ticket out and said "take your time mate, do it when you're ready". A few minutes later she offered to take the ticket from me and validate it for me so I didn't have to get up.

Now that's service - and far better than the attitude I usually get from TransAdelaide staff! 8)
