i guess employers can do what they want, and there are some jobs that are advertised that are already gone
Happens in government where they are legally obliged to advertise roles externally even if they don't really need to.
Yeah, I'm sure the employers can do waht they want, it is just frustrating. I thought it would probably happen in the government with some of the policies they are required to adhere to. My couple were in the private sector - one was advertised Saturday, rang up for more info on the Tuesday, and was told it was already gone even though the due date was the next week. In a similar vein, I wonder how many houses are sold beforbehind the scenes, but the RE agents put up a for sale sign for a couple of days and then add a sold sticker to make it look like it was a quick sale and the market is hot.
