Interesting to read in the 'Tiser this morning that Ron Fuller said the Panthers will probably pass up on Cloke and Harding and likely pick Talia...

Thanks, Phil.

Most clubs would be happy with that result.

From a West point of view, Scott Harding, if he's not picked for Port, will be very, very handy.

I assume the Panthers took the Power's Daniel Bass with pick 9...

One the SANFL website, they had Sam Shaw, who was picked by Glenelg at 6, as being picked up twice, second time round by the Panthers at 9. Becasue Bass is the only name not there,

I assume it is the former Basketballer whom the Panthers selected...

I reckon the big winners from that draft is Port. Im very suprised Port got Butcher and Cloke.

Very happy with westies getting Scott Harding! Altho i think he will probably play a fair bit for the Power, hopefully he can play 10 or so games with the Bloods, aswell as Davenport, plus the inclusions of Schmidt and Birss and our midfield is looking pretty good!

Will only need to play 5 games to qualify for finals, which I think is a very realsitic chance, along with Westies participation...

Yeah thats true BP, but i think if he was to play 10 games or so, then we would have a greater chance of making the 5, and also have a greater chance of having him available for finals (excuses such as: dont feel apart of the team, power wont release him) will be a lot less likely IMO

really surprised that Butcher was left till last......

perhaps all the clubs thought they wouldn't have him for too long....

also interesting that Port only took Power players.....

Well they took Cloke, as everyone thought if available, then had no choice come to the last selection! Nothing in it at all, just a coincidence
