A "lady" coming through the airport a while ago was kicking her luggage over, yelling about ****ing Asian ***ts in the line infront of her, and hacking up giant phlegm loogies which she then spat into a piece of her hand luggage she was carrying.

worked in Cashies Footscray I had a gentleman asking me for an Xbox. we had none but this guy wouldn't listen. I got to the end of my nerve because he argued the point, that we had them out the back. So i said to him spell F**K as in Xbox and his reply was there is no f**k in xbox and i told him well thats what i have been trying to tell you.
Did the customer complain no because he finally got the message.
I left the job 2 weeks later.

Can't stand rude knobs that will see you have been waiting longer than them at the bar however when the barman approaches they will stick their neck out to be served first. I always let them know about it. If it's me I will instruct the barman to serve someone else if I see they were there first, just common courtesy. Normally women too.....

It's a dog act IMO. If you get served before someone who was standing there when you got there, always let the barman know that person is next.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

I spent 13 years working in the Reserve Bank in Victoria Square and had to have our guards walk us to the bus stop a few times when I was on the tellers line... With some quality customers from Social Security/Spendalink, Correctional Services, Public Trustee, WorkCover, Housing Trust, Tax Office, Medicare etc... I had my fair share of threats, abuse, spat on, syringes, drunken/wasted customers and just society's losers in general...

I had a syringe pulled on me by one of our regular customers once.... that is never nice....

But I must admit I had a fair bit of a laugh at most... Couldnt take it seriously after a while...
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Have done that for a quiet country Council so wasn't too bad, but at a city Council would be hell. The majority of people don't have any idea about Council's functions in general or what requirements are placed on them by the state government. And of course we have quality media in the Advertiser and Today Tonight and ACA with their very balanced reporting

One thing I can't stand is customers or customer service employees (yes, I have seen them do this, although not in a FMCG retail type of store) answering their mobile phones whilst being served or serving. Very occasionally there may be a super-important call they were expecting, but normally nothing that couldn't wait two minutes. It is the absolute height of rudeness.

In the couple of retail jobs I have had, if someone has/is rude to me, its' water off a duck's back provided I have done everything in my power to help them. If they are genuinely rude, then there's no point taking it to heart because I wouldn't want to know them socially as friends anyway. Alternatively, perhaps they are rude because they are having a bad day,and while its' unfair for them to take it out on you, we all have bad days, so just let it go through to the keeper.

Fully agree. Feel especially sorry for kids, a lot of who are probably a bit insecure or initimdiated, dealing with people three and four times their age who have been working for 30 years.

I agree mate. I go off when that happens to me. It's nearly always some yuppy piss fart who thnks his shit doesn't stink too. That is just blatant rudeness and deserves a swift smack to the head or a nice big throat chop.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep

No

Have previously worked in retail, the finance industry and a call centre. The latter is very difficult to top for some of the incredible rudeness customers deal out, on the assumption that because they can't see you, they can absolutely let rip with some of the foulest stuff imaginable and then come back with "You can't hang up on me".

There are some mind bogglingly disgraceful people out there (and yes, I fully understand that not everyone who works in a call centre is the picture of friendliness either, so it can cut both ways - however, when you've spent a lot of time trying to solve a problem and then cop a four letter tirade for something THEY have done wrong, then it gets hard to take).
Can you guess where I'm calling from, the Las Vegas Hilton...
