Hally will be playing at Mannum next year.Along with J.Clayton both have signed but i hope mannum have got deep pockets as glenelg paid South about $20,000 for Hally i would think they would like to get something back as he still has a year to run on his contract. My mail is clayton is in the same boat,he is still contracted to port. Will be interesting to see if Mannum can pull this off,it will cost them thousands.

Hally is definately playing and from what i understand has been cleared from Glenelg at no charge.
Clayton is still training with Port, has signed for 2 years with Mannum but will probably play out his contract at port and play at Mannum next year.

All good then great pick up for mannum Hally will dominate up there.Bloke can play

I just dont get it people, & cant work out how they are going to fit these guys in without causing rif's within the club.

Last year had 12 points, but had to play 2 U/17's in there GF side therefore having 14 points allocated to players in that side.
This year only have 10 points- Have reportadly lost H & H so thats 3 points gone, But picking up Clayton & Hall, thats 8 points in. Now with just Clive & these two blokes, that puts them over their allocation, without any of the others

They've signed Hunter from Yorke Peninsula League too according to this site. I think players from that league are 2 pointers.

Unless Mannum are prepared to payout 50 k they wont be getting Clayton, wont happen, Port will play hardball and they need the money. So either he plays or they (Mannum) or whoever else pays. Apparently he was at Port training on Monday night

Also have signed a young lad from the Riverland apparently so there is another 2 points.

Think you will find that Clayton will definately be at Port.

I have been told that there is people at Mannum who know people in high places at the bay and it has been sorted out at no charge.

I find it hard to believe that Glenelg would let Hally go for free. Not saying they have or havent i just would of thought they would want something back for there investment after just one season.Lucky he wasnt at South ive been told they dont release blokes for free that are under contract. They would rather the player not play at all

Interesting stuff. Doesn't Clive Waterhouse play at Mannum also? He'll kick 300 with Hall kicking it to him and prob kick a 100 himself combined with Jeremy Clayton.

Is that definite Purple Cobra?

Thats why no players want to go to South. .. South would rather they don`t play footy at all or that they stay at south and play until their contract is finished and only giving a 50% effort. That is why they are cellar dwellers every year.

Mannum 2010

Waterhouse- 3 points
Sarno- 1 point
Mueller- 1 point
Hunter- 2 points
Horsley- 3 points
Lambert- 1 point
Rander- 1 point

Hall- 4 points
Clayton - (if he plays this year) 4 points

16 (possibly 20) points doesn't & cannot go into 10

and then they still probably won't get a flag, lose the big recruits to other clubs so they can chase bigger money and end up in all sorts. Seems they are going for short term gain, which is likely to end up long term pain.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

Tell me why Clayton would give up a $60k contract at SANFL level to play with Mannum.

I can understand Waterhouse giving up his $30k in the SANFL as he couldn't get a kick anymore, plus he hated the fact he was ready to be dropped & found a better alternative & that was to just retire.

Port won't be any chop in 2010 so that should suit Clayton who's only out there for ( individual honors ) himself anyway.

Mannum couldn't $buy$ a flag in 09 so they have no chance in 2010.

From what I've heard, Clayton has signed on for 2 years with Mannum, will play out his existing contract with Port in 2010 & be a Roo in 2011. Not sure if this means for 2011 he will be a 3 pointer instead of a 4 pointer. If so well done Mannum

Massive loop hole if it does indeed work, but would imagine that the RMFL would have that 1 covered. Wait & see I guess.
