How are Sturt fans being precious? One would suspect that possibly all 3 of those mentioned may have approached their new club first? It is a well know fact around here that Hinge was one such player asking to come to Sturt. The club saw him as a good fit to the team and were prepared to pay the asking price. It's not like the club poached these players from their original clubs by outbidding them for their services

The simple fact if the matter is it's every clubs priority to win a flag and they'll do what they can to ensure that.
Dumb topic, might as well as have one for every club but I'm sure as per usual bayman wouldn't start one about Glenelg.
Shame on Sturt for couragously upsetting the Bays in the Prelim and recruiting well!

I liked this intentional mistake better, especially when it comes out with a correction of someone else's spelling and gramma.
Bayman, with total respect to you, this does come across as a bit of a dig, you've singled one club out amongst all others, maybe you got sucker punched by the whole Adam Hunter thing, I'm not sure. If you're gonna post a poll for such a topic then don't be offended if you get howled down by some.
Look forward to a beer and a chat next game.

I'm not sure if it's Murphy's Law or just outright Karma that if you're going to deflect from an argument by going after someone's spelling that you're guaranteed to make a mistake yourself ;)

Actually most teachers will tell you that stupid behaviour does not equal a stupid individual, and in fact go to some length to seperate the two.
Just thought that you should know that.

The thing is that Glenelg over the last 5 years (and West last year) have done well to be competitive again, it's very hard to do this and even harder to remain competitive. Sturt has managed to do so pretty well for the last decade as have WWT and Centrals show us all how it's done with selective recruiting and a great football structure, Voice has pointed this out previously. It's hard to keep good players together with work, family and AFL pressures, so when they do leave/retire replacing them with affordable and reliable recruits is vital. I think Sturt has done this pretty well considering the outs we have had recently, Matty Payne probably being a mistake last year.

I'm not going to call you stoopid BAYMAN, but I think the poll is, at best, subjective twaddle.

Sturt 2010 are (for mine) similar in visible recruiting (at cost) to where Norwood were at in 2002. However, I'd place Norwood's selections that season above this lot; as the more prominent and costly pair aren't regular SANFL league stars in their former sides (I'm referring to Hinge and Giles 'if cleared').

What would South need do to qualify for a poll along these lines?
