Maybe your club, and the other 7 for that matter, need to lift their game to match it with the Dogs ;)

Geez it would be great to see Adeliade and Port select Westies boys for a change. We keep on being gutted of these talented kids to interstate teams :( :( .

Good to see 4 boys get picked up in the rookie draft and good to see Webby staying in SA.

SANFL mini-draft is at 9.00am Friday.

I think there will be eleven players up for grabs, with Cloke going number one.

I hope westies get Harding, he is the closest thing to a midfielder out of the people drafted.

Would be surprised to see Harding last that long, South will surely go for Cloke and then you would think both Port and Norwood could do with a SANFL ready midfielder/small forward. Especially considering Port's cash woes and Norwood's recruiting ban.

You can add me into that quote too. He's still just 18 and personally I'm glad he will get another year of being able to play both sports he loves.
I'm sure SACA, GCC and GFC will work together during the next 12mths in handling his development and opportunities. Then come Nov 2010 he will have another 12 months of development under his belt for next year's draft and still be only 19.

I think PAMFC will go for whoever is left out of Cloke and Butcher, the other contender maybe Talia.

Peter Rhode spoke about Harding as though he is likely to slot straight into the Power's starting line up so whoever picks him may not see much of him...

That recruiting ban excludes them from participating in the mini draft whufc...

Any truth in the story that Carey had his rookie contract with SACA torn up.

After telling the Redbacks he was concentrating on his footy career he then declined a Cricket committment or camp telling Jamie Cox he wanted to go to the schoolies weekend instead
- A couple of really clever decisions there ;) ;)

Even if that storry is true it would be very poor by the SACA to do this.

The kid is a real talent and the SACA should be thanking there lucky stars that he was not drafted. They have 3 months to talk him into quitting football.

I would like him to succeed and he is showing a lot of skill at District level.

Sorry G BUT there's a bit of fact mixed with fiction here. Alex was offerred a Rookie contract but made no secret of the fact he would be focussing on footy until after the drafts were over and he knew if he had AFL committments.
I wouldn't mind a wager that he will be having a meeting with SACA in the near future so they can start talking about stuff other than if, buts and maybes.
