Disappointing end to a very entertaining series

It was an interesting series. It shows that Pakistan have a bit to offer at times and also New Zealand do have some potential to trouble teams. Although being some very good performances from Vettori at times got them into winning positions, however when you have blokes with ability like that you might as well enjoy what they can offer.

Strange given that his List A, is nothing special (ave 29, 0 100s), yet his FC record is pretty good (ave 38 6 100s)
He is only 26 and in form (he is unbeaten on 159 for Otago today)
If the Kiwis are picking Elliott at number 6 on the basis he can bowl, its no wonder they are down the wrong end of the Test Championship
Well i understand why after seeing him in those ODI games. He doesnt look international quality at all. Altho it could be different in the test arena. His average of 38 probably doesnt deserve a go in the test arena either.Peter Fulton has just been recalled and will probably get the 3 tests to prove his worth.
If he can, i would suspect that NZ may end up going with 5 batters (no elliot), mccullum at 6 and vettori at 7 (he has improved big time) with southee at 8. This giving them 4 quicks and a spinner, and vettori IMO can be a world class number 7
