Talk on any country footy league or club from the SA Country area

[quote="another grub"]Souths into $2.20the flag after signing a new recruit..... Old fella but has played for Victoria Sheffield SHield....

AG Yes we have picked up Chris Stickland from Victoria but in his first game has done a shoulder and will be out for at least 6-8 weeks and maybe even longer. More interest in the new recruit from Nairne that can bowl and bats like Reidy.
will strengthen the bowling and batting line up when he plays in his first game.
Tasman put up a good fight yesterday and were not a full strength. Proves again that the comp will be very even and it could come down to a match winning catch or run out in the close games.
Talking point at both games was the playing of henderson shield and club games on Ashes test weekend in Adelaide.
Not many keen to travel to Kimba for one and many going to the Ashes so it might be a slapped together A grade and B grade side competing. Good luck to those that put their hands up for that trip!!
Eags, Abit of bad luck we couldn't play on your belter of a pitch at centenary because it got watered saturday night. Once again a communication error between people that has caused a ground switch. Might not seem that inconvenient to shift a game from Centenary to Poole but it was so on this occasion as players were notified 30 mins before game starting which is a joke. The Grand final is on the 19th of November so can the pitch not get watered the night before this time!!

Dunno Grub, hardest race of the year to pick a winner! Backed On A Jeune for the sake of it's local connections and will box a few for the tri but I won't get too carried away.

Massive news just to hand......

Consortium will happen in 2007. Wcp is going to sign next week, T Hull & Watho are 98% going to go. Simmo, Caulf & Sticky are showing interest. George Pedler & Joel Fitzgerald are possibles. Other names being bandied about are Cragg-Sapsford & Josh Hollitt who gets on with BR very well. The Tigers will win games next year!!

I took a pay cut for the team EAGS!!! Back to $1.80 per run and $4 for a wicket!!

Have to back a winner today on the cup to recoup my pay cut during the cricket season.
