Burnley Season 2009 / 2010

EPL, FA Cup, Carling Cup, The Championship, etc

Re: Burnley Season 2009 / 2010

26.5 hours and counting.

Burnley fans, in a covert operation, dress up the statue of Jack Walker outside Smellwood Park in a Burnley kit, and post it on youtube.

Dickhead Simon Garner publishes an article in the local rag slagging off the clarets, what a knob. The game is a sell out. Sky are running a special feature on the game, with interviews from fattyface Allardyce and HRH Lord Coyle.

Stomach is churning, and nerves are frayed, AGAIN, this is a game we just can't afford to lose. I just couldn't stand the shit I'll get from so called b4st4rd supporting friends.

Come on you Clarets

17 hours to go
Just watched Burnley v Birmingham from a couple of weeks back
We went down to the club this afternoon, got two new pairs of socks but I've decided I'm gonna stick with the old black ones
The shop was heaving with folk buying kits etc. Some b4st4rds had been there yeterday and spray painted graffiti over the windows, pricks.

Come on you clarets. Some good results for us today and we need to build on it

No injury worries for Owen so I reckon we will play Bikey in midfield again after his perfomance there against brum

Come on you clarets

Just under 5 hours to go

We have to leave for the game in 45 mins. Stupid that we have to go so early but at least the club is opening one of the concourses and offering bacon sarnies and a coffee for £2.00 unlike the b4st4rds who aren't even serving beer to the away supporters

Shite night last night and this morning nerves are up the creek. I've got my faithful claret top with the big vee and my blach Burnley socks so I can do no more. Just have to rely on the boys to do the business

Come on Burnley you can do it

Well, we have fallen off the rails just tad. Losing (there I said it) to b4st4rds and now our 100% home record has gone after a turnover against Wigan. A game we should have won too, after scoring the 1st after only 5 minutes. We gifted them thier first after Jensen went over on his ankle when going to clear a back pass, leaving an open goal for Rodeagga (sp). Jensen went off and we never recovered, not that the lose reflects on Diego penny.

Funny think, I thought Jensen was faking it after his embarrassment, and I will be suprised not to see him back this week. His fom has slipped though and was at fault against b4st4rds, spilt two saves to gift Liverpool two goals at Anfield and hasn't been holding shots like he should be.

Anyway, onto the home game against Hull. Thier chairman has resigned, there is talk the this could be Browns last game if they lose, they are under investigation over £31m's worth of transfer and with any luch Bullard won't recover from his shin injury.

Everything points to a Hull win  . This is a game the Clarets must win as they are all queing up behind us now.

Isn't life great
I got to watch the city v clarets highlights on a tv in Singapore airport
Looked a bloody good game to

There's talk of calderlls brother joining in January. Not sure if that's a good buy or not but we need to do something to stem the goals when we play away from home

We've scored 5 goals in two away games now and only have a single point to show for it
On the good side, we are at least scoring away and that can only be good when we meet the likes of Birmingham, hull, and Wolves

clarets are live on Sky today, early kick off at pompey.

News is that portsmouth have just taken out another bank loan to make up the players wages. 3 owners and 2 managers so far this season and the club is in real disarray. This is a game we have to win. pompey had a good game against Man U and lost to a couple of dodgy decisions including the 1st penalty, but teams do rise to the occasion when they are playing the top sides.

No captain Caldwell today after his red card at West Ham, so Bikey will move back into the centre of the defence and Macdonald will come in to midfield. this is the time for Macca to step up and stake a place. He has blown hot and cold, and his last start was way back in the Carling Cup against Barnsley. He is such a good passer of the ball but he disappears for long spells and this is something he must address today.

Get your socks on boys
Come on you clarets.

Dowd is a cheating twat.

Awards a penalty to pompey when only 5 yards away. the player clearly wasn't touched and just went down in the box. dowd is a f%&king imbecile. He is the same ref who awarded Hibberd the penalty against us when we played Everton. Hibberd just dived in the box.

justice has been done on both counts after a pathetic (probably brought on by embarrassment) effort by Dindane.,

Dowd has given everything he can to pompey including booking two claret defenders in Mears and Bikey. bikey's booking was a joke. dowd is a f%&king joke.

When the f%7k are the Fa going to do something about the piss poor quality of referees in this country.

Clarets had 4 clear cut chances to put this game away and failed on each of them. big problem for Burnley at the moment is finishing off good moves.

Half Time 0 - 0

so even if the ref was fooled, surely he can see the replay and retro book Heiridersson (sp cheating twat) for blatant diving.

Well what a bag of sh1t that was.

In the end we made it too easy for pompey. when the f$%k are we going to learn to KICK THE BALL AT THE GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FFS, we had no end of chances to wrap this game up but we just don't know how to shoot. WE ARE NOT ARSENAL, we can't walk the ball into the net. KICK THE F$%KING BALL

Dowd didn't help and that cheating twat Heiridersson just had to score the opener, but pompey took the two decent chances they had. We fluffed all of ours. Result, a 2 - 0 loss and we deserved it.

Shite day. I'm off to get pissed

Fletcher is about as usefull as a stubby holder in the arctic. What a bunny. It should have been 2 or 3 zip at the half.

Unfortunately I agree with you that Portsmouth deserved it because they took their chances despite the Clarets bossing the game, albeit lacking in the final 3rd of the pitch.

Well, they are all lining up behind us now. b4stards away at Hull have a terrible away record and a Hull win will put them above us if we lose today. What a terible situation to be in hoping Hull don't win.

Look at it on the flip side JTC:

A draw between Hull and bastards and a Claret win over the Goon faces = clarets leapfrog bastards.

My ulterior motive for this to happen is of course if you add in a spurs win, Spurs will be outright 3rd ahead of the scum.

Fingers crossed. ;)

Not sure why i thought the Clarets were playing the goons. But JTC, I guess you'd be relatively happy with the fightback?
