The new GB3 (Underground Lovers spinoff) album is awesome. Each track has a different vocalist. Steve Kilbey, Grant McLennan (his last ever recorded song), Adalita from Magic Dirt, Phillipa Nihill (from the Undies), Stephen Cummings, Sarah Blasko (my fave track on the album) and (don't laugh) Angie Hart.

Other recent puchases:

Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Show Your Bones (best thing I've heard in years)
Ride box set (Vapor Trail - yeehaw!)
Grant Lee Phillips - nineteeneighties (covers of some of my favourite 80s tracks)

I find Fever to Tell better than Show Your Bones, but it is still good.

Cheated Hearts is a great song, but there isn't much like Maps, Pin, Y Control, Black Tongue or Date with the Night on there.

From memory, Ive only bought two CDs this year.

The Living End - State of Emergency. Very good album. 100 times better than Modern Atillery.
Sarah McLeod - Beauty was a Tiger. Absolutely love this album. Took a couple of listens to to get to know it, but she has to be one of the best song writers in the country.

You Am Is new album is brilliant. Their live show is just as good.

Agreed, great CD, it was refreshing to have an album with about 10 good songs as opposed to Modern Artillery which had probably 2.

Cool, I've been trying to get that since getting into SYB. JBs never seem to have it in though. I'll have to look a little harder :)

Have listened to the new Tenacious D cd. Will be buying the limited edition version later this week. Anyone who enjoyed their first cd will love this one.
