your first and surname

Postby Mickyj » Mon Dec 07, 2009 1:41 pm

Just a little bit of fun or nonsense here .
Your name have you seen or known about anyone else with your name.
For myself
1 A catholic school in Canada with my first and Surname
2 a serial killer in jail in the US with my first and surname or he was using the name.
3 Was watching midsummer murders on fox last night one of departments art or something and the guy had my first and surname.
4 there used to be a builder in the state and of course his business had my first and surname .
When I was in my teens I met a teenage girl from the ACT and her dad had the same first and surname as my Dad but different middle name.

Anyone else have anything like this happen to them .

Cheers

2 people living in a small country town - both have exactly the same name - but not at all related.
One being my grandfather and one being someone else.

Yes they did get the mail mixed up - quite often even !
I suppose even though the street addresses were different -
The post office people just saw the name and delivered it to the wrong house :-??

As little kids we could not get our heads around someone living in the town with exact same name as grandpa ...lol.

O:)
You get what you give....

Hey, that's what we said, we thought that with our family name, there was only the 5 of us in Australia and 1 left in Italy... until I googled my mums name for some reason and it came up with thousands of pages for the most sucessful travel agency in Germany!

Turns out he was a cousin or brother or something of my late grandfather that no one knew about... so mum got in contact and has been over to Germany to meet them since.

My name is so bloody common it's not funny :( But I have to be thankful in a way... my mother butted in after my father wanted to call me Brandy

I know my family names from the Czech Republic...but im full blood English coz my dad took his stepdads last name. I really really doubt anyone in the Czech Republic has my first name...but you never know...someone might have wanted to give their kid an "exotic" name...or named their kid after one of the most popular movie stars...but im pretty sure we're the only ones in Australia with our last name coz some guy from the Czech Republic messaged me on Facebook because hes related to my dads stepdad somehow and wanted to know if i was related...

There is a Real estate agaent, a nightclub owner and a duty manager at that nightclub that all have the same first and surname with me which is pretty wired as my first name is only from a certian area in Italy and same with my surname and no we are not related.
The problem with Barcelona is that I like fish and chips but they had to turn it into calamari and patatas

Plenty of people that have the combination of a derivative of my first name and my last name.

In SA:

- A very well known SA football administrator, who has passed on.
- A farmer at Taylorville.
- A Barossa winemaker.

I had the weird experience of ringing the daughter of the Taylorville farmer once to set up an appointment, not knowing her father had my name.
The person who answered the phone told her my name and that I was looking to book an appointment.
When she got to the phone, she was non-plussed as my voice didn't sound like that of her father's.
Eventually she realised that I shared the same name as her father.
Once we'd sorted it out she told me she'd thought "what's dad asking for an appointment for, he doesn't have to book an appointment to see me?"
You're my only friend, and you don't even like me.
