Have to agree REB, think they have actually played 2 days of great cricket in this test and I have a feeling they will do it again tomorrow. Mr Arrogance Australian Captain may well have more egg on his face in 2 days time

windies on fire at stumps

0/23 off of 4 overs.

One of the best days test cricket the Windies have played in a couple of years

Some West Indies fight - and this is what I thought would be the result if they played well. A good contest, not a walkover. They have the players to go well here, and I think we are seeing the results now.

fantastic effort by the windies. I always thought that Benn would have a massive say in this game and if the windies can get past 250, he could quite easily win them the game. Fantastic chance for Gayle to go out and score quickly with a massive carrot in front of him. Big question is when this forecast rain is going to arrive tomorrow/ tuesday

I don't think rain will have much of a say. Probably delay the start of day five a little.

Crowd today was 12,136. The three day tally is 39,202; 1,850 above the Gabba.
39,202 is the smallest three day tally since 38,413 vs Pakistan in 1989/90.
12,136 is the smallest third day crowd since 9,955 witnessed a rain affected day during the epic 1992/93 Test against the West Indies.

Great effort by the Windies today
BIG BENN is getting better
ROACH is a beauty
Just imagine right now if they had TAYLOR + EDWARDS fit and firing

We were smashed today
CLARK is a star at this level
HADDIN batted superbly again, ran out and run out of partners

If Chris Gayle bats for 2 sessions we are in deep deep trouble
IF is the operative word
What about the cover drive BARATH played last ball of the day for 4 , wow
No SIDDLE at this stage, another injury.

And some people actually think that the heftiest playing schedule in any AU International calender year is not the reason for injuries

I hope I am wrong but I have a feeling that the windies will collapse today and be all out for 150 with the Aussies winning late tonight early tomorrow. For the betterment of world cricket though, I really hope that is not the case.

Its ridiculous isn't it.

The amount of hatred the public has for Clarke and Ponting is amazing.

The images of Ponting swearing at Duncan Fletcher on the balcony in the Ashes 2005 always make me laugh. The wee man can dish it out but doesn't like it coming back at him, he's a cracking batsman though. I don't know what people's issue with Clarke is though.

AU potentially best bowler on a wearing pitch might have been Peter Sizzle
He has a WATTOstring injury which could stop or incapacitate his bowling today
One bowler short could be a factor
Marcus North might be needed today

hauritz gets his foot in the way of a Gayle drive nicely to run Barath out. The kind of luck the Aussies will need today i feel.
