Yagmich was a fair keeper who did a job.

Nup never kept for Australia. Only three men kept for Australia in the Packer years, Rixon (11), McLean (4) and Wright (10)
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

He is probably best known for having the record for the longest gap between test appearances (in terms of tests missed): 104 tests between 1969/70 and 1986/87.

PS I just found his record for SA: 6 matches in 1972/73, 289 runs at 26.27

I had 264 runs at sheffield shield level.
Perhaps 25 runs vrs a international team?
Wheres the 3rd umpire Spell Check?

Ahmeds greatest achievement was doing a coaching clinic
and tutoring the one and only when I was a high school cricketer.

Correct - he made 11 and 14 in a tour match vs New Zealand.

Was Hilditch a recruit?

I think the problem lies more with our home grown lads ... Need to get some modern Bishops and Nobes happening.

Yes, he only played for SA from 1982/83 onwards. Was playing for NSW when he first played test cricket in the WSC days.
