Magic and Masters were sober and Ash Cummings will take some stopping in the ruck this year given his stastements as Stoll will be away. Was the great Carl 'precious' Semmler in attendance or was he having a manicure? The rooster hype will probably teeter out by march when they realize that they have to make body contact and play a game of football against another side

lincolns dirty secrets i can see your a touch jealous atm ! I guess we will see how precious carl is when the season starts buddy!!

I have been forced to appologise for my comments regarding the turf pitch and the comment on the way they could better prepair the pitch. In no way did I mean to offend anyone or have a dig at anyone. It was just me trying to be funny, which certain people didnt find funny.
I think the PLCA executives do a great job and hope they keep up the good work.

It was actually 2001-2006 not 03. Basically it was 90 games played, 89 lost, 1 won by default.
Would be crippling to see the average losing margin for those years, probably within the vicinity of 15 goals/game.

2010 will be a very interesting and controversial year!!!

I just listened to the 5CC sports show and I have a few issues.
When challenged about the cricket not being played last week Why did Andy Page say that the last round was called off because Ben Smith rang up and said there were 100 knot winds and Wangary was covered in water?
The pitch at ravendale issue Andy said 'No Comment' when asked. Who is the media leason officer at the PLCA because Bluey has not stopped talking about it and Pagey has no comment?
And to Beebs I was one of those players who pulled out of the second XI today and I would rather go fishing so a BIG raspberry back at you too :ymparty:

Why does Pagey have to be at thjis meeting untapped ability? It is a delegates meeting, he is no one's delegate. He is the EP U/16 coach and that is it. I am reading more into it (putting off the meeting) I smell a rat. Whats going on?

Beebs the fishing was great over the weekend and the beer tasted good too 8)

I don't play cricket but follow the local comps reasonably keenly. Having said that I thought I would put my 2 bobs worth in.
I am astounded at the situation that led to the forfeit by our Assoc.
Firstly I cannot understand why someone wouldn't want to play assoc cricket (those unavailable are excused).
Secondly, why would players get selected in the first place if they didn't want to play and were not going to go if selected. And how long before the match did they know about it and if several days, surely replacements could have been found
Surely the assoc can appoint someone from each club to act as coordinator/co-selector or whatever to get a list of names from their respective Club that are available and therefore prepared to play.
This sitaution has made Port Lincoln cricket look like shite and they need to act to recover lost esteem and put systems in place to ensure it doesn't happen again

well said

I don't have a problem with people pulling out as long as they dont do it at the last minute. Do it a week before. Poor organization by the PLCA was a big factor.

PLCA
