I cant believe the Gardens has finally got the great Jonesy across, he definately CANT bat, bowl or field and i reckon he would smash an angry angus burger with how skinny he is. Actually who are you talking about?

Last clue he litterally cant bowl cause he chucks loves to keep but cant catch, and poor me and the wizard will unfortunetly be related to him [/quote]

Just working hard today mate :D
Not nervous, more looking forward to what should be an interesting weekend!

Not sure Groover would be scared EM. He has faced the best bowlers for a couple years now. These pups you are talking about can't be any quicker than the Grade 1 bowlers of the last couple years. Who exactly are you talking about? Bills?

Either way, should be an interesting contest. If this was a 2 day game, I couldn't see ATCO getting close. However the one day games have a habit of making some games 50/50, they can throw some surprises in here and there.

Will be interested to see if any of the Lodge players can hit Groover for 15 runs in an over. He was very confident, especially Tuesday night. Good to see the confidence is still around. Not sure it would've been there after his 14 minute run.

I think I heard Groover mention about a carton to anyone who hits him for 15 in an over - game on Source/Browny/Sibbs - not Masha though cause he is scared to face Groover ;)

Well the weather looks fine for Sunday so it appears as though our Twenty20 will be going ahead with round 1.

Both games will be played at Playford (Kalara Reserve, Davoren Park), come along and enjoy the hospitality, drink specials, bbq and a cricket bat raffle, it will be a great day with some exciting cricket on offer.

12 noon: Playford vs Eastern Park
3pm: Smithfield vs One Tree Hill

Welcome aboard One Tree Hill.

Will PDCA be fielding the best possible side for the association match against churches this year or run the risk of being embarassed again like last year??

There should be consiquences for denying selection without a good excuse.
ie. 1st offence 1 match ban, 2nd offence 1 match ban for the capt and player, 3rd offence fines to the club + match bans.
Im sure that would get less people saying no

dont know how many of the westies boys will stick their hands up - I am sure that Sibbs wont play not sure what the Big Browny would do if picked - but if Browny got picked then Sibbs might play ;;)

But in answering the question the most talented team WILL NOT play but the best team WILL

And what about if u are 35 years old, have played and run assoc games over 7 years. Guys have got to want to play. If the right blokes get asked we would still beat churches. I think they need to talk to clubs in gr 1,2 and get them to nominate blokes from their club who are good enough and want to play. Then captain and selector pick side. I would not base it on stats for the year cos they can be misleading if u only look at them over a few games.
