.... And the SANFL need to do whats in Ports interest, as a strong Port is in the SANFL's best interest.

But Power to Adelaide Oval ? Bring it on.

Hope your not suggesting the only loyal Port supporters are the ones that follow the Magpies, and to say that PAFC AFL supporters treat PAMFC supporters in the SANFL "shockingly" is plainly wrong.
Lets see when I wanted to buy a ticket for the GS I found an elderly woman set up in the Power Rooms sitting at a card table. That is really professional.I know PAM have asked the Eagles not to sell raffle tickets in case Eagles fans would but magpies tickets as if that would happen.I have seen fights between both groups of fans over which Port Adelaide team owns Alberton oval. And don't say I haven't as I watched with my own eyes .
PAMFC should never have be born after the other Port Adelaide went into the AFL .They are struggling .
If they were a fair dinkum SANFL club Alberton would be a strong home base with every thing set up ready to roll .Not as it appears to us outsiders .
Don't get me wrong all us non Port Adelaide people enjoy going to Alberton and getting a win on the board .Seems just about every SANFL team can win there .
Mock me and others but it doesn't appear to be a happy place.
No probs mate not suggesting it is all rosy at Alberton, but to say the treatment of Magpies fans by Power fans is shocking based on some isolated incidents is wrong. Do all Central supporters let off flares? Do all Crows supporters drink chardonnay? Hardly. Ya cant paint everyone or even the majority based on an isolated incident.
In hindsight i prob agree the PAMFC shouldnt been born, but having said that i wouldnt have been happy with that at the time. And i def would love to see Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval.

No worries mate wasn't looking for a fightSeeing I married into a Port supporting family .And I hate to say this but I understand the Powers that be did a survey and found more Port people drink Chardonnay than Crows .But who knows I go to the footy to watch it .
And personally I think the power are suited to adelaide oval

BREAKING NEWS: A MAJOR commitment from the State Government to bring AFL matches to Adelaide Oval is expected from Mike Rann this morning.
Mr Rann, Treasurer Kevin Foley, and officials from sporting bodies such as SACA and the SANFL are expected to attend the conference in the Gil Langley room at Adelaide Oval at 10am.
Speculation is rife that the Government is going to commit up to $400 million to help redevelop Adelaide Oval to increase its seating capacity to more than 50,000.
The Government has already said that $100 million earmarked for stadium development at AAMI Stadium could be recommitted to Adelaide Oval if the SANFL and SACA could reach agreement on staging AFL matches there.
The Government move is being seen in political circles as an attempt to derail the Opposition's $1 billion city west stadium plan, announced by Opposition Leader Isobel Redmond last week.
The Government has bitterly attacked the plan since it was announced and in Parliament yesterday used Question Time to give both Mr Foley, Environment Minister Jay Weatherill, Transport Minister Patrick Conlon and Sport Minister Michael Wright the opportunity to oppose the Liberal "vision".
