Want to get on the anti South Road bandwagon.
Last year we scraped together a 1/2 A grade 1/2 D grade side against them. Got rolled for 40 odd, had them 6/20 when they sent out a bloke cooking the bbq to umpire, who promptly made a blatant error in judgement shall we say, & it was game over for us.
This weeks forfeit was nothing less than pathetic and Morphies should send them a bill for lost revenue on bbq's raffles etc.
I understand that there was still enough supporters to have a 20/20 of their own and enjoy the day.

Is this Moe from Moe's Tavern ??????

Why yes it is, nice guess.
I only serve Jim Beam or Woodstock though, not Real McCoy.

Would have thought that Bundy would be the number 1 seller Moe.

OK lets run a poll: The side you would like to see lose teh most?
Is that against website etiquette?
South Road for me at the moment, followed closely by Keswick.

Even tho Keswick pay players, i still think there a good bunch of blokes and definitely not one of the sides i would like to see lose the most.

Everyone knows WYC's are ICC so we are loving it at the moment, also like to see Ramblers lose, along with Glenelg ANA (because there top) and Plympton!! Dont mind who wins other games...i would doubt it that it would be against site rules to do this!

Hahahah clueless!

I think i am the only Keswick Rep to approach Ross via facebook prior to the season, before i knew he was playing for Morphys. The only thing we offered was the chance to come play with some old mates and to play for a team that actually has a genuine shot at winning the flag.

I think he realised when we played Morphy's who he would REALLY rather be playing for. Be interesting to see where he lines up next year.... Good Luck in keeping him.

For the record it was Morphy's led by Roachie who started wining & dining our star player a few years back and were prepared to pay stupid amounts to get him in their club.

You guys do realise the Keswick Cricket Club are poor?

Correct Gowser, said person as President did offer Heath big incentives to leave, it was from his own pocket too not club funds.
Full respect to Heath too for sticking with Keswick, but 3 mobile phone calls is hardly wining & dining.
Check your facts regarding the approach to Ross though & I know it will be hard to keep him next year, but as we say at Denham Ave. "Once Morphy Park, always Morphy Park"

AF or RB, when you get Strangey back after Christmas, will he be playing in the A grade straight up??

Im assuming with your side that you have now, and going by the form of all your bowlers, it will be an easy choice on what quick will get dropped?? Just a matter of time for blesing?

I can tell you now no one would have called Ross. I was the only committee member tryin to recruit before preseason, no one else would have even thought about him, let alone know him or have his number. Maybe check your facts.

I will check my facts. In about 15 minutes.
Don't want to end my first chat session with an argument.
Put $10 on Morrphies to pip ANA this saturday. My guess will be chasing around 240 off 58 overs.
Our best batting line up all year might just cause an upset!

Thats a huge call the Moe! Good luck to your mob i hope you do get up, but thats a big call! Get a couple early wickets and you could be chasing less then that tho!!!

Lets see how AF and RB see it! The game against ICC did ya get 1 or 2 fa? Has 2 wickets in ICC's batting but only 1 for you in the bowling! Just dont wana see the stats show incorrect figures of you of 1/154 when they could be in fact 2/154 for the year

And you sure the problem is that you need a bit of luck? ;)

You were correct Bloods and Sheidow and Sharks will play a 47 over match this week 2 umpires and the wrong decision was still made.

Also had JB just tell me Sharks have gone through the books from Sunday and SAY they have missed 2 runs from the first over of their innings and that they have won! What will happen here? They have not confirmed on mycricket but their umpire have signed off both books.

Geez this is pathetic someone said before is this still a gentlemans game well if you have to look over scorebooks 2 days later trying to pick a fault then my answer is no.

GO ROUND UP YOUR SHEEP SHARKS!

No great surprises i was right i guess TL................... ;)

If both sides signed off on the result of a tie then that is what the result is.

Steve Knowles our A grade skipper at the time signed off on a 1 run loss to Coromandel some time ago when in fact we won by 2 runs, which we discovered about 2 hours later at the pub, but the result that we signed off on is the result which stood.

It is typical of the Sharks though, i would be questioning whether the two runs exist in any case.

Good to see you got a smile out of that JB :D .

I love seeing the sharks lose....................so seeing them 0-4 is just great, hoping sheidow make 0-5.

Although the bays have beaten us in 2 gf's, that i have played in, 3 all up IIRC i don't mind seeing them win.

Plympton is a side i have always enjoyed beating, not so much any enjoyment in seeing them lose.

Why is that JB? lets be honest, the Western Youth Bulls stand even though your gone ;) Actually we could nearly call ourselves the Western youth bulls ay?

TL tell the sharks its bad luck. they signed off on a tie, and that result will stand! thats why you always check the books at the ground! Bad luck! Dont be suprised if they just added those two runs in afterwards anyways ... tread carefully mate, there a bunch of wan**** ... Im hoping they lose the toss of the coin if it comes to that!

Strangey may well not play if the wife has her way. We shall see.

As for Blessing, some very good spells have gone unrewarded. Should have taken twice as many wickets if I hadn't dropped the sitter of the season in slips - perhaps the sitter of my career wouldn't be overstating it.

I guess it's similar to Knowles coming back to A Grade cricket. If he did, you would be out of a spot too.

Yeah you could say that, but in fact when Knowles finished up in our A grade he wasnt opening, he was batting 6 and 7, so therefore it wouldnt affect my spot! And i would like to think i have some runs on the board from last year still at this early stage! A bit different to Blesings situation i would suspect?? Didnt play last year at all after having his tonne cause another knee reco!
And if strange finished up bowling first change, it could well be your spot then AF ;)
