Postby skywalker » Mon Nov 30, 2009 7:06 pm

I see Channel 9 are showing series 19 of Survivor from Samoa at 7.30PM Tuesdays. I have been watching it on the net as it is shown in the US and this has got to be the best series yet. Finally someone is playing the game as it should be. Look out for Evil Russell!!! Best villain yet!

I thought this was about trying to drive on their recently changed roads!

( they just swapped whcih side of the road they drive on - and gave people 2 hours to adjust )

yeah that was a few months ago... as this was being filmed. A major earthquake and tsunami hit samoa during this filming as well as 10 days constant torrential rain.

Checked it out on your recommendation skywalker and it was very good. Evil Russell, what a pr1ck! Very interesting because he's already a millionaire, he's just in it for the bragging rights.

Saw bits and pieces while watching Ugly Betty on 72, Russell is a little nasty. Who was voted out, I missed that part.

If I remember rightly one of Russells dumb chick alliance was voted out.. Marissa. In the next few episodes Evil Russell shines....... he knows how to play this game to perfection. I wonder if sabotaging his own tribe will work against hime when the opposition has the numbers after the merge??

It was Marissa. Are you saying he ramps it up even more??

The bloke already emptied everyones drinking water, told a bull$hit sob story for the sympathy vote, and organised the vote against Marissa with lethal precision as soon as she indicated that she was onto him. All in 1 episode!

I will be definitely be tuning in next week!

Mate he is the best villain ever... plus he knows how the game works. Here is a spoiler... highlight this section to view he finds the individual immunity idol before any mention of exile island and without any clues. Watch out for the psycho in the next immunity challenge as well. Probst stops the challenge after the psycho gets a bit... well psycho and kicks him out... classic stuff

You ain't seen nothing yet.
I hated him up to that point, now a couple of weeks later I see he is IMHO dead set the greatest player in the history of survivor.
I doubt he'll win, but man he is hugely entertaining, he makes this whole series :-)

I've watched every series Channel 9 have showed and have never got sick of the show. Johnny Fairplay was gold in his series but (and I haven't watched any on the net) you can tell Russell will surpass his legacy, just fore the sheer fact that he doesn't have to hold anything back due to not needing the money. The man has no leash on himself whatsoever.

Does anyone know if any of the previous series have been released on boxset here or in the US? I can't find any, anywhere.

Ended up watching 5 eps in a row last night, we couldn't stop the tribal councils are so compelling - haven't watched Survivor in a long time but this is an amazing series! Finale plays today in USA I think - how Ch 9 are going to keep that under wraps for a couple more months is anyone's guess.

Like others on this thread, I hadn't really bothered with Survivor recently, but gave it a watch when it came on TV a few weeks ago, and enjoyed it so much I downloaded and watched 5 episodes in the last 2 days... it's pretty good, and that Russell adds something...
