Maybe it's time we did, considering the Demons have finnished 5th the last 4 years and underachieved. Don't worry the love/dollars will be shared at home 1st and for only those that are Red and Blue blooded. Our Junior program has produced a number of quality SANFL players over the years and rumour has it a couple maybe coming home.

In recent years, all the potential in the world can not seem to find us a Premiership. We get to the ball but don't go on with it....and clubs that have a couple of "Marquee Players" leap frog us and go on to Div 5 - 4 - 3 and upwards.

We've been competitive in the Home and Away series against all comers - Had great clashes with Blackfriers, Brahma Lodge, Hope Valley, Golden Grove, Elizabeth, Westminster and the list grows on, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

It's nothing new, you need the cattle and if you can get the right people/players that might just put the cream on the cake. That's what Genovese did in the earlly 90's and added to a great list to go on and win Back to Back Premierships and a 3rd GF. Took the club to D3. Time will tell and I look forward to chatting and bantering with you all over 2010. Darth Demon

Geez you must be old to remember the Lockleys and GG clashes from way back !! ;)
How do you think the "love/dollars will be shared at home 1st and for only those that are Red and Blue blooded" is going to help you guys achieve success ?? Do you think the loyal club men will play better if they are paid ?? Do you think you may need to pay some 'outsiders' to achieve that success ?
Welcome aboard by the way DD :-bd
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Thanks none of us are getting younger are we!
Lockleys men returning from higher grades may just put the cream on the cake. Did GG have some secret ingredient in the water or did they.... dare I say it pay a couple of Marquee types? I think the later cause that's the way everyone else got out of D6. Great to hear from the Zedman you're alawys welcome at Rutland Avenue, I understand you are available for a beer or 2 this season.

Well I know that you have already lost 1 of your best players :shock: Would not be surprised if Lockleys don't go up in 2010 there will be a mass exodus. If this happens the club may be left a little red faced.... :oops:

The only secret ingredient we had was the fact that with about 20 junior teams on the books we had a great bunch of juniors coming thru to complement the guys who had been around for a while. We are lucky to be in that situation don't worry... our problem is keeping them as they go off to other clubs as many have done... Recruits we got to the club when we won in Div 6 left at the end of that year and were replaced but they definitly weren't paid recruits, only getting Kooka Cash as all A graders did for a win. We only started paying marquee players once we got into Div 5 I believe...

Well "tick tock" Watchdog, there's a few boxes that need to be ticked before we worry about that tock;
1. Got to be cleared
2. Got to get to training
3. Got to be fit
4. Got to get the ball
5. Got to be on the ground
This player had trouble with most of those issues, this year.

No seriouslly good luck to the lad he's had more clubs than I have had Roast Dinners and if you've seen my tummy latelly, that's quite a few. ;)
