But I'm a sucker for vampire flicks (Boom, boom! Tish, tish!)

I even watch The Vampire Diaries on Go!

It's not even Two-and-a-Half Men!

Just one big industry in-joke.

No wonder it cleans up every TV awards season.

Only saving grace is Alec Baldwin.

Great show. Lots of boobies too.

Ryan Kwanten (Jason Stackhouse) is the luckiest actor working in TV today; maybe of all-time.

He gets to prove his acting chops with a juicy, developed, well-written character.

And then he gets to...

David Simon and Ed Burns are definitely on a roll - Generation Kill is what Jarhead wanted to be.

The DVD extras are interesting, too - especially the round-table conversation with the Marines the book was based on (some even have minor roles in the series).

Basically said every war is like Iraq - chaos and cock-ups. Also had a gentle dig at 'The Greatest Generation' and the sentimentalization of WWII...

Found Series 5 lacklustre.

Ari is perhaps the biggest disappointment. Enters a scene and blows-up! Very one-note.

Looks like it may have run out of puff...

Just watched Rattle & Hum (up very loud - sorry neighbours) after years of trying to eradicate it from memory but found myself really enjoying it. Although I still can't help thinking of Nigel Tufnel singing Heartbreak Hotel when the boys go to Graceland
