Thats what I have heard scottroo, will be a big step up for a guy who is fairly new to football, let alone being number 1 ruckman with pressure of big dollar contract. hope he thinks it through, be a shame for him to leave

I work with him, he told me a couple of months ago that this is what he was doing, i told him he would be wasting his time, with the cost of petrol, and what he'd be losing from work. Seemed like he'd made up his mind some time ago though...

Hey Newman, ive heard same whispers about Paul Marshall too - Portland are about to swoop. Also heard they already in advanced talks with several other players - all mainly from Seaton.
Is Marshall that good? - never seen him play.

Marshy was leading the B&F at the half way mark. Hes a good on baller that knows how to get the footy.

Newman, no ready made replacement ruckmen in the seniors at the moment, have 2 great kids in the juniors, 1 will be ready maybe for b's half way through 2007, and the other is about 3-4 years from senior footy, only ruckman ive ever seen in U14 thats 6'5

From what ive been told about portland felch they do not have enough brains to try and get back the core of players that they lost this year. Apparently there is a woman running the club and all she wants to do is rub the b grade coach up before the games. Marshall is getting old best is past him i think, he probably should go back to portland and play Super rules.

Someone told me Marshall was very overated - cant comment as i havnt seen him. Same person did mention something about a love triangle being the reason he left Portland - maybe involving the mentioned female and another players missus? All this is alleged.

Its been awhile since i have last wrote - But gosh looks like im the only one working hard at work.
Sorry Newman I cant reveil my source but its accuarte... Recent update, Gowers is staying put at the club but nothing has been signed which we know what happen to jerry mcquire when he shook hands with his client. So be careful... get him signed quickly.
A bloke like lynchy you cant replace at a club - A great team player & these days he has settled down which im sure you will get a more responsible & more of a leader out of him rather then the joker he was before he went oversea's. Hodgey is great mates with lynch so i cant see why lynch would leave..... It def wouldnt be for money. lynch is aclass act player (probally just inconsistant)
Ive heard the same about strath but what a waste of time for walshy..... Here is some advice walshy stay with seaton cause i can see some good things happening for the club.... Including a flag i recon...

i havnt seen paul marshall play either but i kept a close eye on him in the sunday mail & he must of played some bloody good footy cause i regularly saw him in the best 3 players & not to mention going from portland to Div 1 is a huge step.... Good on him, i hope he stays with the rams under the guidance of hodgey.

Dont worry about the loss of Simon "tits" Peuker..... For a bloke who played alot of sanfl footy he was bloody useless as a player & by the sounds of it as a coach aswell.......

cruzn, the main thing that let simon down as a coach, and the thing that in the end probably cost him the job for 2007 was he was a playing coach, tactically he was excellent, just trying to be part of the playing group and coach was hard. The injuries didnt help, meaning he had to play more in the mid field than he wanted. I can say for 95% sure if he was willing to stop playing and only coach next year, he would still be coach of the SRFC

Please dont get me wrong im not having a go at tits but what i was trying to say is for a guy who has played alot of league football & to me is a good player at Sanfl level, He did nothing as aplayer on the field at ameature level... Even under Mark Brant he wasnt even in the top 10 i recon in the b&f in 2005.

I know for afact tits has a great footy brain but i recon he didnt have the full support of his players & season ending injuries to key players Hawkins, Kouta & muscara surely didnt help the club.

Not to mention the club didnt even recruit any big name players.....

Im not a huge believer of a player / coach. -

Show me the qualm cruzn!!! Love that movie. Cruzn you seem spot on with your judgements agree with all you say except for lynch, not sure he will be missed at rams if he goes. Latest news suggests he is gone to districts and districts and smosh are moving in on a few more gun rambler players. Walsh to strath. Mickey you better let big Al to start moving or else it could be doom for ramblers.

I didnt see lynchy play this year & i never saw him in the best players in the paper either but before he went oversea's
he was an exciting player to watch..... maybe things have changed..... Im sure districts will get as many players as possible from rams But districts dont have as much $$$ as ramblers. Hodgey is a high respected coach so i cant see to many of the players leaving.
Rumour has it afew players are considering leaving henley to join rams for money & offcourse the big fellar (Hodgey)
But does anyone have any names in mind.... But that wasnt half obvious
Whats the update on walshy - is he chasing money to join strath - He will get belted from pillard to post.... Gosh he was only playing basketball 3 years ago.
i know players have said they will play on next year But Big Al of all people should know, i dont believe it until i see pen to paper. -

contracts are starting to be signed this week, not too sure what SMOSH would have to offer any of the players to be honest, if anything there are a couple coming back to the club that played juniors at rams. think the henley boys may be dissapointed if the want the big $$ coming to seaton, Scotty isnt a big fan on paying huge money for player, thats the way he was last time he was coach aswell.

Cruzn, never said anything about Peuckers efforts on the field, think u covered all bases there, just thought the bit about "For a bloke who played alot of sanfl footy he was bloody useless as a player & by the sounds of it as a coach aswell......."
was a bit harsh

Walshy definitely is gone. Big loss for rams as there is no one waiting in the wings to take his place. Surprised that there is talk of people leaving ram land. With hodgey at the helm they would surely attract players and have a very successful 2007.

Dont ya love the silly season - its amazing how many people are 'going' elsewhere and its only early november. One things certain though - you cant take anything for granted. Any good footy dept knows that.

Any more names mickey, still hear some grumblings of players leaving. Player meetings have not taken place yet and other clubs are moving a lot quicker.
