Methinks plenty of Christmas cards will be sent by Rann to Federal Liberal MPs for creating that huge self-imploding diversion in Canberra ... he probably can't believe his luck.

Oh, and one more thing, if as Psyber suggests it's common knowledge around Parliament about Rann's behaviour, why hasn't this ever been brought up before by the Liberals? And why are they keeping their heads down now? One simple reason, because no-one is clean and to have brought this issue up earlier would have caused WW3 and we would all be shocked (well, maybe not all of us) with what these 'honorable' members get up to in that House.

Only kidding, of course, although your propensity to attach a lot of weight to unsubstantiated hearsay worries me a little.

As I've said elsewhere, I'm aware false claims can be made, and do get made, of sexual misconduct [and other forms of misconduct], as I had been on the wrong end of one myself many years ago.
However, when the same information about repeated behaviour patterns comes from several sources who are people well placed to know what is going on [and at least one is a senior figure in the same party] it does start to gain a little more credibility and look a bit more substantial. I agree that is not legal proof of truth, but it supports a judgement on the balance of probabilities if you are speaking to people in the flesh and able to make your own judgement about their sincerity and motives..

On your travels through Parliament House, did you happen to notice security cameras in the corridors around, and in, the Premier's office?

I didn't get into the offices and corridors there - just the houses and assembly areas, and the BBQ in the gardens behind the old Parliament House.
Security at the main entrance was substantial though and there were cameras there and an airport type scanner to walk through.
I gather the offices have audio links to the chambers, and video links are going in, so those MPs who are in their offices when the house is in session [for the boring bits] can decide whether they want to pop down and join in something that comes up. I didn't notice cameras anywhere else, but wasn't actively looking for them.

Yes, I'd agree with that. My point is that MPs don't usually divulge dirt on each other because it opens up a can of worms and no-one can win.

Just a comment about security or CCTV within Parliament House ... I've been there a few times and it's not an easy place to get into, plus the layout of the building is cramped with plenty of rabbit warrens. It would almost be impossible to conduct clandestine liaisons within that building without everyone knowing. So if 'active members' conduct such activities in there they're either stupid, or know that the code of slience will protect them.

Must add I don't get overly enthused with the husband, something just not quite right there! Plenty of "froth & bubbles" on the outside but has a certain smell about it, maybe the mortgage at Burnside is eating into his wealth pot, and I wonder why she was working as a waitress?
He is supposed to be a minor 'mover & shaker' I believe, but perhaps only when peoples backs are turned.

I note in today's paper she wants her husband back, I wonder why that has come about?

Putting aside the fact she now wants to get back with her ex I thought this comment by the "Michelle Supporter's Group" was interesting:

Then after the election he will drop the defamation case. Suprise, suprise. To get your character back and protect your family take the lie detector test as soon as possible. Then we will know the truth and the defamation case will be null and void. I was on the protest run on the weekend and you had over 300 supporters believe me. Now we did it in the rain, make the dark clouds dissappear and let them hang over those that doubted you. Make the sun shine and the rainbow appear over your family for a better life. Take the Lie Detector test and show that money can't buy the truth like the spin doctors have made out. Do it for you, your family, and for all South Australians that are tired of being fed lies! Mr Phillips pleading not guilty to assault and the possibility of the relevant parties having to give evidence in court under oath appears very likely. I would imagine that the downgrading of the original charges was meant to gain a guilty plea, there must be some very disappointed people at the moment. This issue will not go away. The consequences of lying under oath should finally bring out the truth in this matter. What is the penalty for perjury?
