Roy Laird goes to Baghdad to see if he can find a recruit for the next season, while he is there he sees a 19 year old called Akmal playing Soccer as a goalkeeper.

The kid is amazing, can kick both feet, speed to burn and actually handpasses a goal from the other end of the field while Roy is watching. The Doggies sign him up and he comes and joins training and eventually they pick him to play in the reserves Round 1. He kicks 5 and is BOG. In Round 2 he kicks 7 and is BOG again, so they decide to pick him for the ANZAC day Grand Final rematch.

Akmal starts on the bench and comes on just before quarter time, kicking a goal with his first kick in SANFL Football. He finishes the day by kicking his 10th goal after the siren to win the game for Centrals. The crowd rushes on to the ground he is mobbed by supporters, narrowly avoids a flare related injury and is chaired off the ground.

In the changerooms he is so excited and asks James Gowans if he can borrow his mobile to call his mum who is back home.

"Mum, mum I have had the most amazing day, it is my first game and I've kicked 10 goals and won the game. They chaired me off the ground and it is the greatest day I have ever had" Akmal cries down the phone

"Oh" Says his mum

"Mum, you don't sound very excited, have you had a bad day?" Akmal asks

"No worse than any day in the last 6 months his mother says " Your sister has been molested again, the car has been smashed with rocks and then set on fire and we are pretty sure your brother has been forced into joining one of the outlaw gangs and got shot at by the police today"

"Wow mum, here I am having such a great time and this is happening to my family while I am not there. I can't help but feel partly responsible" Akmal replied

"Partly Responsible!"

"PARTLY RESPONSIBLE!!!" his mother screamed at him

"YOU ARE MORE THAN PARTLY RESPONSIBLE - It is your fault we moved to Elizabeth in the first place Akmal!!"

Does anyone know how to cancel a bid on E-Bay?

I put in a bid for a "Mickey Mouse Outfit", and now it seems I am only six minutes away from owning the f**king Port Adelaide Football Club!

:D ;)

C'mon smac, you should know there is no such thing as a new joke - only one you have not heard yet.

Any chance you want to share some of your comedic genius with us or just happy to have an easy shot at some one else?

For starters, we have a joke thread. Secondly, taking easy shots based on stereotypes is just lazy. I am sure you can do better with some real effort.

I've heard of that exact same "joke", except replace where necessary the words Alberton and Port Power. So it's not one I haven't heard of yet, nor is it funny.

Oh, and once we were the SANFL joke, however I'll bet those same people from other clubs are congratulating Ron Fuller on a great career and "would have won more than one flag had it not been for Central". Go figure.

Damn.

Ok then:

This bloke goes into this bar wearing a South Adelaide jumper and this other bloke says "Hey mate, does your team ever win?".
The bloke goes "Yeah, we win all the time".
So the other bloke says "Cool, I'm going to barrack for them".
He sees the bloke who wore the South jumper ten years later after South haven't won a game and he says "Hey mate, I thought you said your team wins all the time?"
The bloke goes "Yeah, but they're not my team"

OK i won't say South Adelaide - I'll say Panthers instead. I wouldn't call them a joke though I personally like to call them a rabble and the laughing stock of the SANFL.
