Devil, we do need someone to cover the loss of Morris. But we do have the midfielders such as Schmidt returning from injury.

I see our problem as a KPP down back, with Collins liking to use Ferguson as a roaming player as he has the smarts to set up the play!

But a quality on baller would be handy aswell.

When is the rookie draft and does that include mature age rookies? Might be a few SANFL clubs stung by it.

Thanks for the sarcastic reply to a simple question. I have now tracked back through the post and been to both SANFL and AFL websites to get some info.

Also had time to check the dictionary and it seems that the correct abbreviation for "they are" as in "they are rookies" is they're not there. Please don't turn this forum into a sledgathon when it is supposed to be about sharing information and opinions....
Pretty sure the mini draft and rookie draft is on the 15th of December!!

Can you or someone else explain why the rookie draft and the mini draft is on the same day this year when in the past there has been about a weeks break. Seems a bit unfair on the SANFL clubs to make a judgment on players that AFL clubs have only rookied that morning. Or is this info incorrect?

Sorry i would like to clarify, Rookie and Pre Season Drafts are on the 15th of December - not the mini draft! My apologies for that mistake.
No apologies for the "sarcastic" reply as it wasnt meant to be sarcastic!

Until the rookie & preseason draft is completed its hard for the SANFL clubs to decide who they will tkae.

You never know Port may take Cloke & the Crows may take Iles which would, change things around for all SANFL Clubs

I guess Central get who everyone else doesn't want, it's funny that the Dogs have had very limited say in who they have been able to get in the mini draft due to being in the top 2 each year yet have walked away with players such as, Guerra, Griffin, Williams who have been quality SANFL players and all played around that 30-50 league games.

I used to think like that also. But the pros outweigh the cons.

Example. Damon White. Mini draft selection for North Adelaide. AFL career over. Stays on at North. Makes up for all the dicking around North copped while he was at the Power.

Surely Cloke will go number 1, and then you would think Harding be either 2 or 3.

Personally i hope Central grab that Daniel Bass we could do with another tall, he probably wouldn't play league for a couple of years but would be happy to have him in the squad.

Cloke will go 1.

Hoping Butcher will go 2.

Therefore allows the Bloods to get Harding now, who will play half the season with us IMO. Could be a great player to have, and cover the loss of Sal Hassan quite nicely...

I think the bloods would go for Harding as Long as they believe he will play at least half of the year in the SANFL if not I would think they would look at Talia who is tall kid that can play through the midfield or young Moore

I would like it to go something like this

1. Panthers - jack gunston
2. Port Magpies - andrew moore
3. West - Cameron Cloke
4. North - Daniel Talia
5. Eagles - Scott Harding
6. Glenelg - Jasper McMillan-Pittard
7. Sturt - Luke Thompson
8. Central - John Butcher
9. Panthers - Sam Shaw
10. Port Magpies - Daniel Bass

This is not based on who is best but which club is likely to be best for each player taking into account what oppurtunities lie at which club and what club currently already has a bias towards one of the AFL clubs already.

I think Jordan Johns may have already been assigned an SANFL club, not sure which one, may have been South Adel.
