its funny because except for bloods 4 for on the weekend and the start ck got a few weeks ago the 2 blokes that have been talking up wyc to win the flag have been mere passengers in their title defence so far.

as i said before... you guys love to put alot of pressure on the 1 or 2 blokes carrying you this year and without harvey you'll find it even harder to bowl sides out...

Yeah iv been a passenger this year, but i would think that the confidence other guys got (the blokes coming in such as the wrights and harvey) would be higher after us winning last years flag!!!

And yeah without Harvey it would be harder to restrict sides and bowl sides out, but we are very confident if any bowler is to miss a game, we can replace them! If a batsman is to miss a game, then we are in trouble.

All we are saying JB, once your in the 4 it doesnt matter where u come its about performing in big games. Keswick can confirm this (won the flag 3 years ago or so), so can ICC (won it the year after keswick), ramblers (finished second and didnt make the final). Its not about finishing 2nd or 3rd, its about making the four and then performing.

If we dont, then so be it, we are this year hoping to make the 4 as a rebuilding year for the club, with an average of only 23. The next couple of years is where we look to have a bigger crack at the title, this year is about getting experience into certain players.

And as Bloods said, every side is only as good as there last 2, if not last 4 players. We look over the next couple of years to improve that part of our game, and then push the flag. Last year and this year are only bonuses in our opinions.

PS: talk about laying pressure on your stars, i think Bayboy is doing just that!!!

We have used both and a white and orange ball, pink seems to be the best though.

Thanks bazza - I'd like to try the pink, but will see what our boys and Coro think.

See you tomorrow

Should be a good game this week WYC v Plympton. Hopefully we will be able to gauge whether we have improved from last year...Always seem to be closer games when we play WYC at home rather than at Cowandilla.

When have you played us at Cowandilla?? ;)

And yeah, got a record of some really close games at plympton over the years! Should be a cracking game, and if we lose it really puts us back in the pack and a chance to miss out, but a loss to your mob will make it real tough to make the 4
