could districts do what they did last year and suprise by flying under the radar?
my mail tells me sails nth will be lucky to stay in div 1 in 2011 mass exit and not alot coming in
Another massive November call!
With you on that one Ace. Big call to write a club off with as many pokies as S.North in November with players leaving. More players leave, more money they have to recruit and there is a long way to go before the season starts! Be interesting to see who they front up with next year.

Another Eagles reject who only got a game for development purposes...that's why you can't afford to talk Henley up, because they aren't actually as good as they look on paper.
McGregor, Cullen, Fairclough, Pavlich, Williamson, Mehaffey...the term 'they played for Eagles' may not be as cracked up as it seems, otherwise they would have been more successful. Obviously these blokes came back to Henley throwing around that 'Eagles' word to increase their weekly income.
Don't get me wrong, the first 4 mentioned could be quality div 1 footballers but not good enough to make an impact in league...take McGregors 09 season with Eagles for example. He kicked 22 goals, averaged about 10 possies a game and wouldn't know what the term defensive pressure means with 11 tackles for the year. It seems Kenny's dropping down a league each year cause he can't get a kick

4 of your 6 names mentioned have been very good div 1 footballers, so who cares if they didnt play alot of league? Its probable that kenny and fairy will be very good players aswell. People play div 1 because they're not good enough for league footy, which is what those blokes have done. I thought that would be obvious![]()
Don't worry about the hype champ

shobtop1 wrote: Well the general consensus over the last couple of years has been that Henley will win the flag due to these influxes of Eagles players...so the polls and general hype have said anyway. Just pointing out that this doesn't automatically make you a force to be reckoned with, you still got to play as a team which is what Goody Saints have done for the last 6 years. Have only been to a few Goodwood games but you can tell they are a well oiled club..good club men with a small turn over of players who don't really care about $$$. Henley have talent but they usually only perform when want to

Mate I left a fairly important bit out but have added in "in the footy world" so my mistake.
Someone's now bound to come back with names like Kevin Sheedy, Eddie McGuire etc but you know what I mean, not too many people in general who can say they don't have to worry about their financial circumstances to some degree.
