Done a bit of homework on him last night, apparently he is going to play at Payneham and i know what he has been offered there so even if our guy's do want to talk to him they will have no hope of getting him.

They have a newfound money tree and are stripping it bare, but will it be enough? I think not!

the money tree isn't getting stripped bare at PNU, and as for adam davey, we've been good to him in the past, and are confident in him returning the favour and playing for us again if he's not at sturt

Outside of your own club, what teams are you really looking forward to playing/keeping an eye on this year?

For me there are a few. Salisbury are a strong proud club. I Expect them to be good.
Westminster i had a lot of respect for when we played them a few years back. At the tim i thought they were a couple of years of it and they have brought a young group on well.

Im really interested to hear more on Woody South. I remember the days not long ago when they were in the upper divs and i remember playing against them in a Div 2 trial. Was on of my first SAAFL games and i was under the impression that they had just come from1 as wel. Surley they will begin to level out soon?

Good question mate.
Probably a couple of teams I will keep an eye on for different reasons. Keen to see what Fitzroy bring this year with Bourke leaving. If he takes a few with him they could be in strife. Golden Grove should be the big improvers from last year. Came good in the second half and having known Weaver think the club is definitely going in the right direction. Also looking forward to seeing their upgraded facilities. They better be good after having to get changed in a box last year! ;)
As it is every year I like to keep an eye on the 4 new clubs in the division. Particularly Westminster and Woody South's this year as it wasn't to long ago we saw Salisbury and Pultney in Div 4. Keen to see Westminsters facilities and what their like as a club as I have never played against them before. Woody South's I have heard struggled with injury last year and that was why they came down. That could mean they will be strong this year if they retain their list.

Definately a lot of injuries at Woody South to key players which did not help in the second half of the year after sitting in the 5 at the half way mark of the season.
No excuse for not staying up though.

I am looking forward to seeing Westminster's rise continue as well as playing salisbury again after having a couple of good close games with them last year.

Do not know a lot about many of the other clubs but i think Greenacres will be very competitive.

Acres will always be around the mark. As much as we all throw s*** at them, they are lucky to have strong financial backing. They will recruit well, gain more than they lose and be strong. Heres hoping to N Wright having a dud year. He is there barometer. One of the most dangerous players in the league. The one you love to hate but would take in your side in a heartbeat.

Ive played down at the Westminster ground a few times (SAAFL and 1stXVIII). I think there changerooms are excellent. The deck can be suspect in spots and is small. We struggled to get into top gear there a few go's back.

All in all i think this year will be tighter than last. When you look at the sides on paper i dont think there will be any easy games. Unless unley improve i think they may struggle but even last year they knocked off the Dragons at the Jail. Something we didnt do.

How much of Pultney's success wil ride on keeping Perrie and having him perform? Obviously he isnt a roo but PAOC were proof last year of what a name player with big time experience can provide. I cant think of many defenders from last years sides that would confidently to the job on sarge.

My reports were that he was handy in patches but it was a lot of there other players who really gave them the improvements. I didnt get a chance to see them play myself but thats the reports that I recieved.

Yeah spot on Stan. He was good, but certainly not the only reason they went up - Some good players in the team that could cause some headaches.
I'm proud of you fellas. You all kept your head on a swivel, and that's what you gotta do when you find yourself in a vicious cock fight!

agreed zed. he also dragged them back into the 2nd semi when they kept plympton to a couple of points in the second half on that very wet day.

Brian Gates, he has been with Micky Godden at Glenelg the past few years and was at West Adelaide before that.

Huge recruit for Westminster with Matty Manfield leaving Roopena to head to the city.

He should dominate in Div 4.

That is if he doesn't make it punting in the NFL.

Will be a very handy recruit if he can keep lasts years form.
Not as much open space in Adelaide as there is in Whyalla but will still take the best defender every week.
Good work One Eyed.
