Season Tickets

Postby eaglehaslanded » Sat Nov 21, 2009 4:08 pm

Just had a look on wwtfc.com.au for info about membership, season tickets etc and this is what I have located:

Adult Membership with Season Ticket
You will receive the same benefits as Full Membership plus entry to all minor round matches

$5 discount off President's Lunch

2 tickets to 1 Crows and 1 Power match (matches to be determined)

Eagles Lanyard

COST $145

Interesting to note that the season ticket offer includes tickets for AFL matches. It appears as though the SANFL have decided to go with the option of curtainraisers to Crows and Power home games.

I hope that doesn't mean they're having SANFL league games as curtain raisers to Power and Crows games...

Hopefully it is an enticement to attend an AFL game, just a "benefit" of holding your SANFL club membership...and not a double header

I assume the package with these bundled tickets costs more than a purely SANFL ticket did last year?
If so, I'd need 4 single tickets to Crows matches instead to make it worth doing it - otherwise I'd have paid for 3 tickets I couldn't use as part of the bundle.
A bundle full of stuff you don't want or can't use is not a bargain..

NAFC Season Ticket offer is $125 with the same AFL inclusion. Probably the cheapest in the league.

The Centrals pack has no indication that the tickets will be for a specific game. Centrals season ticket package has only gone up by $10 I think, so the AFL tickets more than offsets that.

As a Crows season ticket holder, I don't really need the Crows tickets (but would be a handy gift). The Port tickets hopefully I could use for the away Showdown.

Its for "selected games" so I doubt it.

Id say they would be for low drawing games ie Fremantle.

i think perhaps the league could go for 'an upgraded season ticket' you buy a season ticket from your club but with the 'upgraded ticket' it also gives you 'other games' on the same weekend....eg if your team play on the friday night you are still able to attend another game or three over the same weekend
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Excellent idea. I too like to get to as many games as possible over a weekend and I am sure it would entice more people to do the same.

The SANFL could ensure that there are no match clashes by having a friday night, saturday day & night, and sunday day games each week so that bayman can go to every match, instead of 50 or 60 of the 90 odds matches a season.

And while they're at it, surely bayman has earned life SANFL membershp and should be let into every game for nix. ;)

Fine by me so Central would get 20 home games in the season as their the only team to play Saturday nights, could we go 20-0 nah we probably drop one game ;)

The all match ticket has gone from $70 last year to $100 this year at Norwood (doesn't include membership. Home match ticket is $60). So the AFL games are priced in to the ticket - it's not exactly free! Of that $100 price, I think $20 goes to the SANFL whereas previously, I think 100% was kept by the issuing club.

I don't expect SANFL curtain raisers - rather, it's more likely to be a chance to artificially boost Pahhhrrr attendances in the main, I reckon.

Basically, they are forcing a price increase on buyers by putting in the extra AFL tickets, even if they are not wanted because either the buyer doesn't want to go to AFL games at Footy Park; the buyer already has a season ticket for AFL; or the buyer wants to choose the AFL game(s) they attend.
