Very quiet on the GSFL site....No new recruits that any body cares to mention about regarding your team.

Josh Vick to play at Cove in 2010, but seems most likely to play at Goolwa in 2011

Here's a question that may start some talk; big improvers for 20TEN??

I'm going with Myponga; Coach Sampson, new recruits, up and coming senior colt premiership players.
McLaren will continue to rise with Hilly out there.
Strath to maybe drop of a bit.
GPE to finish 5th or 6th again.
Yank to win the spoon.

Table may look like this after 18 rounds:

Willunga
Compass
Creeks
Victor
GPE
Strath
Myponga
McLaren
Enc Bay

Yankalilla

Could be roll of the dice stuff between 4th to 9th...Early wins against 'top' sides will be the key and making the most of home ground advantages.

Didn't see you in the tents down at Schoolies Damian? I thought you'd be a starter for sure!

What makes you think Strath will drop off? Thought they were pretty competitive all year, and had a fairly young side to. Have they lost a couple over the off season?

I think they may lose a couple during the off-season.

Was devastated i couldn't be back home for Schoolies, first time i've missed it in 6 years!! Unfortunately had to travel away for the weekend to attend a best mates wedding... I think Flashies end of school night might make up for it tomorrow

I hear Goolwa has signed up two new recruits, one with a bit of height, both from an SANFL club... can anyone from the Pies confirm this rumour?

Rumours are also flowing that Ewer has arranged for two mates of his to make their move to Goolwa. Both of which have had numerous meetings with the coach.

Good to see you trying to get some discussion taking place, Damian. Not too sure that if McLaren are going to improve why they would drop from equal 6th to 8th!!!!.
Strathalbyn who gave Willunga a fair dinkum run for their money on GF day have topped up with a very good ruckman (and they needed to) will not drop. They finished 4th and played very well during the finals to beat both Compass and Langhornes.
You did however cover your @rse with the comment that 4th to 9th could be a bit of a lottery.

As we saw last year, injuries to Goolwa, Victor and especially Langhornes will determine the final outcome. Depth of players will be most important.
Encounter Bay.. No Coach at this stage with a new president.. will recruit, but may struggle
Compass..Doing most things very well. All 4 sides in finals and could not crack a GF Winner
Goolwa..Quality Coach but need to top up with a couple of forwards
Langhornes..You can never write them off
McLaren..Will depend on how their juniors cope with the second year blues
Myponga /Sellicks...Should more than hold their own and have to improve
Strathalbyn... the closest to Willunga at this stage.
Victor..Need to keep both Ellis boys and with a good coaching panel. With L Saunders back and the already pre registered South lads ..tough to beat
Willunga...the team to beat.
Yank...Will need to get a couple of gun recruits to help out the new coach

Committee meeting at Goolwa tonight so who has and hasnt signed will be known later tonight. The 2 from the SANFL ranks are not "big name" players but will be handy and not sure who Zac's mates are but he provided the club with a list of 15-20 possibilities so could 2 of many.

Ewer was responsible for bringing a lot of players to Jervois when he played there.
S.Joraslafsky,D.Lawrie,J.Jadognik,R.Beeching and Fraunfelter are just a few I can think of.
We at Imps were glad to see him go back to town.

There is a Ben Wilson at Strath.
Played at South Adelaide in the 17's and 19's. A Strath Local who is back at his local club.
Running half back around 28 years old.
