There must be a way out somewhere because he was on the training track at another club last night.

If it was true that we were not paying players and he was one of them then that would be a way outof a contract. I see little point in keeping players that want out anyway. We will not get anywhere next year and there are a few who want out who would be our highest payed. Let them go get a little compensation for them and start fresh with a young side. We can not afford to pay for players who don't want to be at the club.

True. I'm more interested in how the contract issue is being sorted.

I think you will find that the club is a bit further west than unley........

Well it can't be Westies, Glenelg or the Eagles as they are all only starting their pre-season training tonight as far as I know...

West have signed a ruckman, the Eagles have signed 2 ruckmen and there's whispers of Cranston leaving so if it's west of Unley it clearly points to one club I think.

I think you'll find Trevor Cranston is likely to stay in Adelaide with the Bays for 1 last year. Whilst Ronaldson has been signed for the Bloods, he is not an out and out ruckman, when he played with Central, he was more of a versatile KPP that is capable of pinch hitting in the ruck.

He is not your traditional 200cm + big man that can lead the ruck all day. Will need a back up and with no guarantee of Moran and Lobbe on permanent AFL duties, I think Meiklejohn would be a good fit at the Bloods to free Ronaldson up for a forward spot.

He led the rucks for Coburg the year they made the Grand Final under Collins. IMO he's more of a ruckman than a KPP. Doesn't quite have the mobility for a full-time key position.
And I suspect SANFLnut might be talking about a WAFL club.

From the sizes I saw last night Eagles may have signed four new ruckmen.

Heard a rumour that Daniel Elstone has quit Port and signed with the Roosters - anybody able to confirm or deny this?

Would it perhaps be simpler to start a list of players who haven't been linked with Sturt? The last I heard, Elvis was hoping to crack the Blues' league side...

Or Henley vs the PAMFC. there just may be more games of league experience with the sharks than there is with the maggies.

According to the latest news reports although receiving a recent cash advance from the SANFL the Magpies are believed to still be in a lot of strife. It is said that the SA Football Commision will consider a proposal to merge the Magpies and Power although it doesn't appear as though it will have any backing what so ever from any of the other 8 SANFL clubs.
