good effort

Twas a great effort. Always great watching tailenders making runs.

Can't say that I agree. Depends if you're fielding or batting. Didn't have too many blokes lining up to bowl......

Did i hear correct that ur captain was going to bowl if you won the toss anyways, because of Hopkins not playing next week ...

great days play by WYC 353 out in the 69th over!

Congrats to Shirvo Wright, first A grade game since our lost to SR in the Gf 2 years ago, with a wicket in his first over.

No chance we would have won the toss and fielded. It was discussed but not a real option for obvious reasons. Must say that I've rarely felt as crap after a days cricket as today. Each Ramblers team that batted dominated, each team that fielded got smashed. Funny about that.

A few of your blokes were heard saying we should/would bowl as "they" only have 2 bats and their only bowler isn't playing next week. That is why CK has asked the question.

I was thinking the same, and hopefully we are not on the receiving end of that!!

Pretty close their AF ;)

Altho i did SFA

So it looks like ANA will go atleast one game clear after 4 rounds! And if they move onto 29 points i would say they only need a maximum 3 wins to guarantee themselves a top 4 spot out of the last 7 games!
Plympton and Morphys would be 60/40 chance i would say in favour of plympton!
the dogs will find it hard to come back from this start if they cant get up over Morphy Parks

Yeah well I rocked up later than most. If it was discussed it wasn't an option come the toss. The only one who wasn't sure what to do at the toss was Hopkins. He didn't know what he wanted to do when he won it. Settled on batting after asking Russ Hewitt to check that he'd won 't it when it was clear who'd won. Think he was expecting to loose?

I don't think our boys will ever consider fielding in the heat again after today.

Hopkins as captain last year 11 games 1 win of the toss. was the GF
this year 4 games 1 win

Thats a total of 2 wins from 15 games. No wonder he got someone else to check it that he had won one! He is the worst tosser i have met.

Also on a side not, it was good to see hoppy get his 20 overs of sledging done in 2 overs ;)

Yeah well after last weeks 6/23 of 17 overs over the game, i guess he better work on his bowling a bit more
Think plympton should work on their bowling after seeing Brad Middlin open the A grade bowling this week!!! Why would pritchard not open?

Also, AF or RB, why did the big fella play in the B grade for ur mob? dropped or can he only play one week??

haha!!!! i guess joking around is out of the question on here, good on him, he's obviously improved his bowling from last year, playing B grade (no disrespect)..faced him then.. i dont play A's so i dont know why midlin is opening, but has bowled well of late... Pritch made 89 today vs morphy's.... we made 250ish i think

Yeah he made 89 i know that, but i still dont understand why he doesnt open the bowling??

And as we have learnt through time, he is an extremely handy old ball bowler. He had a cracking year for us in the A grade bowling late with the old ball, and has continued on the same! Start of last year you woulda faced a chris allen who thought he was quicker then he was. he now realises his best asset is bowling nice and full and swinging the ball!!!

Im still amazed at his 59 today. That was Tonkes-esc today.

ps: we never joke on here :) its all serious cricket talk!!!!

On a day forecast for temperatures of 42, my team and I awaited the arrival of the opposition team and captain at the home of banksa.
I tossed the coin and naturally lost and were sent out to field.
I received a few dead arms, nipple cripples and crowpecks to the head.
Upon exchanging team sheets I realised that the person I tossed the coin with was not our opposition and that he was playing on the neighbouring oval.
I received more of the above.

After the real opposition turned up and we tossed the coin I once again lost the toss, fielded, received more dead arms, nipple cripples and crowpecks with the odd camel bite thrown in.

Has anyone lost the toss twice in one day besides myself ?
I reckon i was 3-35 as captain .

Actually it was all in one over. Didn't say boo in his second for some reason

Russell reckons he can't hear any of it - problem is, I reckon he's telling the truth!

Big Dimma and Nat Elliot both only available first week for us, so unfortunatley couldn't play either. Don't think it would have made a big difference yesterday, but Dimma has bowled well of late.
