12:00pm: Playford vs Eastern Park.

Fantastic drink specials and BBQ facilities, coloured uniforms, pink balls and some very entertaining cricket.

We have uniforms and pink balls too!!

Oh, but ours is under lights! :D

Yeah but you guys play with yourselves, we play for points and have a shield 8)

And it should be a quality match this week. Not saying browny's team was terrible, but they defenately weren't up to the blockbuster standards of sibbs and azza's team.

You are kidding yourself

our winner should take on your winner LM, sounds like a great idea

but the story would be a lot different if all our 3 lodge teams combined

I'd like to see each zone set up their own comp, we had a couple of teams want to joing ours but it would've become a bit hectic, 3 rounds and a final is just right spread over 2 and half months.

We would organize it.
A) PGCC, Brahma, Westies and Sal. Nth.
B) Units, ATCO, OTH, East.
C) Rosies, Angle Vale, Virginia, Riverside.

Something along these lines and they'd be matched up geographically, the 4 clubs involved in our comp are very content to keep ours how it is, very local.

Swap OTH with rosies and that would geographically be very good

Why not have 4 Divisions play each team twice, then have 2 semis and a gf

It becomes too much and clubs shy off. In our comp we have Craigmore, Eastern Park, Playford and Smithfield, we play each other once and have a final where the top two play off and 3rd and 4th is the curtain-raiser. Each round is a double-header and each club gets to host one of these, we set it up so clubs can have a crack at 20/20 without it becoming a chore like it did with the Wednesday night comp and each club gets to make some good coin once during the comp.
What you are proposing does make sense but it was pretty clear at the AGM that there is no room for a 20/20 comp for the majority of the clubs, it would have to be done independantly.
It worked very well last season and all 4 clubs were keen to give it another go this season, we would be happy to do the programming if any other groups of 4 wanted to follow suit, all 4 clubs agreed not to expand as it would become too much.

We can all agree that the PDCA should have some sort of T20 comp..

agreed

Innovation & change is the key - those that dont perish

Why PDCA would not set it up is strange as it would give a second premiership available in each grade

It might even get more people back playing cricket

You guys can agree to it, I agree to it, the majority of the clubs DID NOT agree to it at the AGM, this is all that matters in the executive committee's eyes and fair enough. There has been hardly any support for T20 in the PDCA, it is not the PDCA's fault, it is what the clubs want.
On the same token, clubs should be sending people aho have a genuine interest in the affairs of the PDCA, not just whoever has that night free, maybe put on a dinner or something to attract the right people.
