Anyway, on other things... are Tanunda imploding? I hear that there has been some internal grumblings about the newly appointed leadership group. I think they have come right back to the pack for 2010. Greenwood will be sorely missed.

Precipice,

Good to see another newbie on here.
Could you kindly advise the tripe you speak of? Pretty confident all my statements are factually correct.(except the bit about no schools in Freeling)
Tell me what you think has transpired over the last 10 years and I will let you know how correct you are.

Beegrader - are you involved int he coaching panel at South this year?

I estimate Freeling's 2010 player/coach committments on market value hitting the 75K mark and its not even December yet.

If you've got it spend it

Who are the new players PH?

Nigel James x Norwood reserves

Michael Eichner x Yorke Peninsula older brother of steven

Both talls according to Peter Argent
Michael Eichner is the younger brother of Steven, 21 year old, played at Paskeville last year after playing Reserves at Port Magpies for a couple of years. Can play.

well then thats some terrific journalism by peter argent.. the YP football thread doesn't rate him as too flash in a rank paskerville side.

I would be suprised if Michael Eichner could get a kick in this league. A fringe player in Ports 2s, might stuggle in the BL&G league as in th YP.

There will be no dramas for quality at Tanunda next year. Most current players to stay and a big signing on the way. yes there are a few little rumbles, but that happens when u have a s***t load of guns!

The only guns you guys have are the arms of Nick Scmidt and Craig Underwood!!!! 8)

Yes, he has said that he wants to finish off where it all began, will be a handy pick up if it eventuates.
Will come cheaply, only a $69 Virgin flight from Melbourne.
Could be the best $69 ever spent in the BL&G.
Only needs 3 games to qualify, but I would like 6-7 games out of him to develop some cohesion with the side.
Burgess is also confirmed to be returning to the club after his coaching stint.
Haven't seen him kick the leather for a few years, but could be a pinch hitter up forward if needed.
Maybe some good ex-juniors returning aswell.

Osama - Juniors coming back... Are you talking about that Jock strap lad, no Jock Auld??? What's his last name? Played div 3 last year, watched a game, moves ok.

Sounds as though your on the right track Snoozer.

The 2 players from Torrens Valley who were offered $10,000 a year sign ons & $1000 a game from Freeling for 3 years have knocked the offer back.
I wonder what Torrens Valley are paying then?

With only 14 players turn up, they all play A grade, you need 18 on the paddock, could be a little quite for you Couchy,

What do you mean by the meet the coach, not a clue

Only 3 people on the board, a few roles to be filled, maybe we could cloan Johnie  ....

i noticed neither of u squabbling south guys mentioned lee makris, i thought he was also leaving. i guess theres no point mentioning a guy that doesnt put in and should be lining up at midday. div 5 might be his fitness level
keep up the good work lads weve had 2 pages today highly entertaining stuff. perhaps tex u can get emails from all the lads involved and post here. besides lee i think one of the names mentioned has already posted his opinion.

Couldnt agree more Lee is not only a lazy fat footballer but a poor excuse for a man too from what i hear. His arrogance, ego and ability to think he is better then what he actually is is all to common at south and its why a once great club has been brought to its knees. A clean out is required badly at the Lions.

Pinacolada... you are a dead set moron mate. A lazy fat footballer hey... thats why every club in the league tags him when the play South. The guy can tear a game of footy apart with his raking kick and sublime skill.

Wasn't played in the right positions at Paskeville. Will benefit greatly from playing on a flank instead of a key position post. I wouldn't exactly label him a tall, more of a medium-sized flanker than a tall. Can play if his mind is $$$witched on.

Freo - I know another club from the BL&G that approached these 2 players and the above figures are what they would have wanted (about what they asked for just down the road last year). I can not confirm that u lads would offer them that much? As that would mean that they would both be paid the same or similar to big Mal. I really cant see that happening? The 2 lads in mention from TV are reported to get about 10k each a year as TV have the cash coming out the ears...

With still a couple of Coaching positions up for grabs and the player movements bound to happen, it would be great to get everyones thought on the season ahead.

Perhaps Ladder predictions, Schluter Medalist, rumours of player movements anf any other interesting facts (or fictions  )

I remember one game against us Makris was carving us up in the first half and had the ball on a string. At half time our coach didn't even address us, he simply went to the canteen and got a box of Cream Puffs, he then went out and put them on the outer wing. I don't think he touched the ball after half time, in fact I don't think he moved away from the outer wing.

More facts:

1/ Lee Makris is and has played his entire career over weight
2/ He is lazy. Proof in fact 1.
3/ He has fantastic skills and would still walk into Tanunda's current side
4/ He won a club B&F while the great Ben Halliday was at his peak
5/ He wont change his ways now and its Milligan's way or the highway. (or Main North Road to Elizabeth)
