Due for parole in December I think. The legislation says that prisoners with life have their decision on parole made by the Cabinet i.e. Rann. It's always been there though I think. Rann sticks his nose plenty into Parole Board business, but I doubt the Parole Board would release him anyway.
I don't see why he shouldn't be released however. He has only been convicted of one murder, albeit particularly horrific. Others would get a shot at Parole in those circumstances, why not Von Einem? Because everyone has decided he's guilty of the other murders.
I think that's what got Isobel Redmond in a bit of early trouble - thinking like a lawyer instead of a politician. You are right, of course, but it aint going to happen
