Cop that!!! But well said here Jimmy.......If i remember correctly in the Goolwa v Willunga game down there last season Bruce Elliot and McMillan took something like 8/30 odd between the two of them.........Lets hope the Goolwa boys don't choke again this coming weekend......They look like a bunch of muppets against the slow bowling!

As an interested observer from the square leg umpiring position on Saturday i did notice that Goolwa seem to have a number of captains on the field.....It was noticed on the team sheet that A.Evans was named the captain as such........But as it has been over the past 5 seasons it was K.Vincent ringing the changes and always getting in the young lads ear! How about Andy is just allowed to captain and run the side how he likes as it obviously hasn't performed under the former skipper! Will be interesting to see if Andy culls out the old blokes over the season and concentrates on youth......Its not like the older blokes are the stars of the side unlike in other teams....

Lets hope the magpies can live up too all there talk this weekend......Which i once again highly doubt.....Talented team that get dragged down all too often by muppets in there team!

You should comment on something you know nothing about ,Goolwa had a youth policy and i started it ,half the guys in our team would not of been playing if it was not for me idiot,we have never finished bottom and only just missed out on finals every year,4 season ago we played in the grandfinal against Enc Bay something you cant remember

Hi Rocky old mate, werent you shit canning another club a couple of pages back?? My how the wheel turns! No doubt you've been wathching the Pongy B's to see whos playing, how many are playing from the previous 2008 A grade side?
In your post above you say you have put a system in place that has seen your club go from playing in a GF to not playing finals at all. Great work that!

From a person who say they have wisdom, well u look like u have none ,i was pointing out how we have had kids playing who are now becoming men and future looks good, shall i draw u a picture so u can understand.love seeing people like u who dont know what there on about and dont play anymore, your younger than me by a couple of years and not even playing so until u start playing again give it a rest and stay with football, how did u go coaching this year, took over a side who won preierships to no where and your having a go at me

Perhaps u should take some of your own advice and let kids play, suffer for a couple of years and you will come on top,or just let your gun players go to other clubs and have nothing ,well said WORDS OF WISDOM more like like Words of sitting on FENCE,now thats funny i dont care who u r thats funny.

=)) Laughing at you, not with you RockyB
NO.1 - My name was decided by Nath Bennett after we both had consumed a bottle of CC's each & we found that the picture of Mr Bush goes well with my name. Having a laugh at myself you dick!

No.2 - Answer the question that i post for once instead of rambling crap. Yes Pongy has young blokes playing B's but how many will ever be A graders or have played A grade?

No.3 - I havent been able to play any sport for years because my body is shot, 3 knee & a shoulder opp is enough for me, its not that i dont want to or have no ability like yourself.

No.4 - I've been involved coaching A grade footy 6 seasons, 4 of them we've played in finals & as a coach im well aware you are measured on premierships. On cricket, I captained an A grade cricket flag, how about you?? :finga: :butthead: & im shit at the game which once again highlights where your at!

No.5 - Stick to drawing pictures because your spelling sucks, as above in bold.

No.6 - We'll have an A grade next year, get Tomo back, win a flag, then pull out again just to piss you off!

No.7 - Thats a funny post RockyB, im going back to my fence....

havent been on here for a while but just read all of the stuff about goolwa, saying cant face slow bowlers and are s***t, think they proved today what they are made off. never looked like losing and made willunga look like a bottom b grade side. got the runs only 5 down with just under 20 overs to go, and if it wasnt for the slow bowlers of willunga things couldve been different for them today. think mcmillan got hit for 67 off 10 overs including 5 sixes. wow muppets against the slow bowlers and chocked once again??? safe to say goolwa smashed willunga in all aspescts of the game.
oh and danozzo look what happened when andy evans captained the way he wanted to. when was the last time goolwa beat willunga in a grade, especially after winning the toss and bowling first brave decision ;)

McLaren Lost to Compass by 28 runs was an entertaining day and a great game by both sides.

Great chase for McLaren considering they were without both petrucci boys and keeper curtis.

Good to see Goolwa get up well done lads!!!

good to see goolwa have a win with out any input from kingsley vincint i guess the chess board can be put away for another week well done lads
by the way rocky b how far away from a A grade game is young Harry Dunster ? Harry took 30 odd wickets in his first and only season in under 16s before going to England ( i think he still holds the club record for most wickets in a match 6 for 10 and 4 18 against yank) must be getting close to a game as Andy was also his u16s captain and thought highly of him

Not quite sure it was that easy white rolex, but willunga were outplayed there is no doubt in that but things could have been different. One incident in particular which went your way! Hayward was run out by a mile, when he would of been on about 15, but because which ever clown goolwa had a square leg decided he didn't have to pay any attention and watch the game he couldn't give it out because like he said "he wasn't watching" absolute disgrace in A grade cricket! Our Catching was terrible, dropped something like 9 catches, dropping spurls on 0 doesn't help the cause! and mcmillan these figures don't quite tell the whole story... he had 6 dropped catches off of his bowling, 1 of which was spurls on 0, so things could have been a lot different, goolwa were always giving chances with the slow bowling and weren't as comfortable facing them as you make them out to be, we just weren't good enough to hold our chances. But that's cricket, and now we move onto this week against compass gold, where we will need to improve a lot on this game if we are to win!

as iv highlighted wat u said their jimmy, couldve been different, every result could been different. and i think ul find mcmillan and elliott, their only 2 slower bowlers, figures between them was 1 for 90 odd off 19 overs. that was half of willungas entire score, had their chances but ur going to when these bowlers throw them up atleast 2 times every over or bowl the same ball over again to a 7-2 field, bit different to that 8/30 betwwen them a whie back, times at goolwa are finally changing, and people should be showing them a lot more respect on here than what they are getting. and with chris's i agree was unlucky for use but even myself had looked down to put a dot on the scorecard then heard all the comotion and didnt know what was going on.

Another interesting round of cricket boys!

Congratulations to Goolwa and Maroons for getting their first points of the year. Also to E-Bay for bouncing back so emphatically to easily snare the outright after losing on the first innings. Respect must also go to McLaren Districts A grade for putting up one helluva fight in chasing Compass Gold's big score. I should imagine a 250-odd score is going to give you more wins than losses. Some good runs for Wilson has seen his COY odds shorten somewhat. I also take my hat off to Pt. Elliot who are sitting in the four despite many people predicting them to be fighting it out for the wooden spoon (yes, I know it is only round 3).

Now that I have got the diplomatic stuff out of the way, I feel obliged to comment on White Rolex's recent posts. My friend, you have stated that Goolwa deserves more respect, yet you have shown none whatsoever yourself. Respect is a two-way street, you will not earn any by carrying on like a pork chop after one win. Congratulations on your win, having not beaten Willunga in a while you should be proud, but stating that you smashed them in all aspects of the game and made them look like a bottom B grade side might be setting yourself up for a fall!

just saying it the way i saw it sherminator. and i have a lot of respect for the willunga boys, get along well with them, just their performance this game was to a lot lower standard than other years. i dunno if it was cos goolwa played well or they just had one bad game. Will we start to see willunga drift to the bottom of the ladder this season or bounce back and show us why they have been up their with thee best for so long.

Rocky B, I had a look at the Pongy B grade scorecard from round 1 and didn't recognize a name. Surely they can't be a threat I don't think any of their players would have played an A Grade game. It looks bad but clearly all their A Graders have left so I don't see a problem.

Spurls has been playing this year, made a few runs on saturday. Last year had quite a productive year, RockyB can probably tell you some statistics.

Myponga B-grade are a decent side and will make the four comfortably i would think. I don't believe they are up A-grade standard as a team so it has been a good move to place them in the B's. They have a good mix of experience and new comers to the game.

He took 4/34 against Goolwa. Not sure about previous game/s.
