Boonet, the only way i can describe the stupid decision of batting Drew when they are 2 fa, is that Tim Allen is now captain ;)

Really i have no idea why they did that, not very smart especially if Drew was to get out in the 2 overs he was out there for

Always good to make 200+ against a quality side like ICC - especially on the outfield we had today. Seriously was about 40+ runs that went begging as it was just so damn long (was on our oval).

Tonkes got a 5-wicket haul I believe and was the pick of their bowlers even if he didn't get the wickets IMO. Sampson bowled very sharply but without luck. From our batsmen, J. Benson made 69 batting @ 5, Elliott with 71 @ 3. Very good partnership between those 2.

Should be a cracker next week...

As for the other games - some interesting and particularly low scores there. Will make it very interesting to see if any outrights come of it and how that shapes the season.

How did the great man JC go on the w/end?

Hear he turned up to the Shoe on Sat night and had a great time with the lads. Rumour has it that he would love to come home. The C grade boys would welcome him home. ;)

After the talent we witnessed at a 21st on Saturday night @ our venue, I don't see much topping that. Just incredible... they kept rocking up by the car load! if I wasn't a married man... yeah I'd still be too chicken sh!t ;)

AF - you chose a poor week to be away from the BBQ!

As for the cricket - you boys are welcome at the Ramblers next year when the southern league is abandoned ;)

Shoe Boy, from what i hear the Southern League wont even be going next year, let alone having a C grade.

Think you should worry about keeping your association together instead of bagging other blokes from other associations. Leave that to us to bag Calderbank ;)

Massive test for the Ramblers this week. With the inclusion of AF, it makes it harder for ICC to win. With the 3 pace bowlers in Blesing RB and AF, ICC will find it hard to score at a quick rate, which they like doing. Then after that, they will Calderbank come on, who bowls extremely tight (economy last year of less then 3 i think). Unless Sambo makes a ton, i cant see ICC winning this one.

And wouldnt that hurt them so much, losing to WYC and Ramblers back to back. Iv noticed they play ANA and plympton in the last two games of the year./ Tough run home, they may struggle to make the 4 if they lose this one.

Cmon Ramblers!!!

Great day for our boys against SR. After dropping 2 catches in the first 3 overs, we skittled em for 84, despite their captains 59 or so, and he batted pretty well. Hopefully we can get the outright to compensate that lost to westminster in round 1

I think a tear just came to my eye... I don't think I've ever been mentioned as a pace bowler before... You truly are a gentleman and a scholar.

Hopefully AF gets out and does some running during the week. The American cuisine isn't known for it's health benefits.

It'll be interesting to see what JC does with the bowling line-up too, he's probably got more options than he's had in recent memory which can only be a good thing. Certainly not underestimating their ability with the bat.

Nice job by your boys Bloods and ANA - knocking teams over for those scores is quite an effort.

With our effort on the weekend, we just continued to get wickets in a row, i think we took the first 4 wickets in the space of around 10 overs, then they had a partnership for a while, and then we got the last 6 wickets in a space of around 9 overs..

I am still giving Plympton a slight chance against ANA this week! yes they need 6 wickets for 15 runs, but there batting does look vunerable. If Galli is the first to go, they may just panick a bit at ANA. In saying that, i see a great chance for Glenelg to get an outright result ...

Can anyone from Plympton fill us in on why D. Rowe didn't play. There would have been a few sighs of relief after Plympton winning the toss and electing to bat noticing no D. Rowe on the team sheet. Why such a low score at plympton oval, top dressed or something or just a combination of good fielding and bad batting. 14 wickets for 143. very strange. Any thoughts plz.

Glenelg actually won the toss and elected to field. Combination of some tight bowling and good fielding from ANA although Plympton found some unusual ways of getting out. Not sure on Rowey, could be playin this week as a super sub?

Pretty sure Rowey was named as a super sub in ANA's B grade this week

D. Rowe in section 4 will be a joke. I know its where their B grade plays, but he's a waste of talent down in section 4, he may as well not play this match or unless he's super sub in the A's. He will kill someone, especially if they don't even wear a lid n he drops short. A former A grade district opening bowler playing section 4. Its almost up there with Heath Streak playing............... :)

Plymptons batting last saturday was terrible, the only shining light was J. Simmering who as a young kid held his ground out in the middle. The oval was top dressed and cored many weeks ago and is now looking good. Glenelg ANA's bowling was decent but nothing special they just bowled tight lines and took constant wickets.

BMAC, Glenelg may have the same rule as us, where a player can only play one week if sides are short. Obviously they had enough players available for 2 weeks, and the only other player available the week Rowey cant play, was nowhere near good enough to play in the A grade. Altho, D.Rowe for one week with a carp player the next is better then no D.Rowe at all IMO....

Bloods, any more news on the SAMCA cup if its going to be run or not? or find out next meeting on the 10th of November??
