That's the question I want to hear answered!! Bourke is a massive loss, but if he takes a few key players with him Fitzroy could be in trouble in 2010. Then again the new coach may bring some players with him?

After a very very long abscence Burrboys is back posting on the boards!

Long story short, i went to the United states midway through the season and as we know the div 4 board moves very quickly and it was impossible to keep and and get back involved after missing a month or so worth of action. Tha plus some other things...

Anywho

A-grade leadership group met with Mark last week and from all reports they were very very impressed. Really excited about where the club may go. Spoke about a few things including player recruiting. A few players from TTG may make the jump. "those who may not be able to commit entirley to div 1 footy anymore". Thats all ive got at the moment. Well all i want to say anyway ;)

Spoke to scudds a few days ago. Waiting on confirmation from Virgina but wont be a burra next year. Will get a few back that weren't around last year either. Seaton and Furno. Names that wont mean much on this board but are huge barometers for the performance of the team. Choc will confirm that. Good things happening @ 5125, with word being Aus Day for the clubroom opening.

Absolutely. Seats is a great player with awesome skills on both sides of the body and a fantastic reader of the play. Furno is as tough as they come and was sorely missed last year.

Anyone is welcome to come out on Oz Day for a beer at the new club ;)
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

I think seats was the missing midfield link last year. When the focus os on JK, Shep and Box. Seats can slip under the radar and cause some real damage. Great hands. Marks all over the ground. Lets hope he gets his fitness back up post knee recon

If you want to attempt to be clever, try not to put a full stop in front of 2 question marks. Having 2 question marks in itself is bad grammar let alone following a full stop. So if you are going to be a smart ass over one small spelling error please be perfect.

Back to footy talk.

Jim
I think the high number of GG posters that were floating about the place 12months ago led to the allusion that we were talking ourselves up. One or two bad eggs got few offside but most sensible folk were able to see through it. The creation of our own thread to keep some of the younger posters off the D4 board seemed like an approriate idea. A place where sometimes suspect comments may not be so heavily criticised.

I love the banter its what these threads are about. With the majority of talk about GG it was like shooting fish in a barrel. We will try our best in Div 4 this year will be a massive test.
