Ah but this time it has a very "ironical" little twist.

Surely he isn't considering coming back to westies. That would be "ironic".

I mean "ironic" in terms of him keeping the club waiting every season... yet this season he actually wanted in... and "possibly" it was the the club that wanted out.

The rumour is very strong that Brett is looking for another Club after Glenelg has told him he is "Not required" due to poor form in finals!
Only a rumour though!

They have a 203cm WA ruckman committed to club but as yet, have not released his details to the public. I would suggest there would be a clause with the player in question in relation to him being drafted into the AFL so they will have to wait until after the draft to announc him or not.

The 204cm ruckman from the WAFL that the Panthers had signed, but not released his name, is now staying in WA.

It turns out he was still contracted to his WAFL club for season 2010 and South were not willing to pay the fee to get the player over to Adelaide for 2010.

I beleive it was either Josh Krueger or Michael Griffiths, both former Glenelg players.

Phil i understand that fee was no trifling amount and therefore understandable and dissappointing for the player as he was keen to both return home and play for the Panthers.

Must have been Griffiths (the only 203+cm ruckman in the WAFL) . Krueger is 196cm and is more of a KPP. I don't think they're missing out on much; Griffiths played a fair chunk of the year in East Fremantle's ressies

A good start to the 2010 season from our bungling Football Department.... Disappointing from the player but ridiculously disappointing from the Club - DO SOME HOMEWORK before announcing a signing to your members.

Judd Robson is to do a preseason with Eagles under Micky Godden.

Played for PHOS last year and was named div 2 ruckman in the TOTY.

Micky has coached him at Westies in the Ressies a few years back. Will be interesting to see if he can make it to the league level or not.

I missunderstood what I heard...

The player in question knew he was signed for 2010, it wasn't until the club he is from came up the excessive transfer amount, therefore the Panthers pulled the pin on signing him.
