Jimmy they don't pay, you should know that!
I wonder if Peter Z took out a loan to pay him or did he have enough in the ashtray?

Following the record-breaking result this year the committee has been working towards the club’s entry into Division 3. With the AGM looming followed by the silly season, it won’t be long before summer training is underway.
In the meantime David Marsh has advised the committee that he has decided to step aside as coach of the A Grade. His decision has been influenced by a number of factors, the most critical being additional commitments to his business. David was unsure whether he would have sufficient time to focus 100% of his energy on the coaching role next year.
The news isn’t all bad though as David has confirmed he wants to remain involved with the club and has expressed a desire to serve on the committee in 2010. This is fantastic news as someone of David’s experience will be an asset at club management level.
For the first time in our history the club found itself in Division 4 when Marshy returned to the club following the 2007 season. He immediately set about stimulating the off and on field energy around the club, with his sights set on premierships and progressing to Div 3. Since then Marshy has empowered the club through one of its most successful periods with 5 premierships and three minor premierships won in the last 2 years.
He exits the coach’s box with ‘mission accomplished’.
The strength of the club is there for all to see and Marshy capped off his time as A Grade coach by being the only coach in our history to win two A Grade premierships. These were done over 20 years apart, another amazing record!
The committee is greatly appreciative of the dedicated effort and personal commitment David Marsh has invested in the PAOC Football Club.
Appointment of Rocky Butterworth to A Grade Coach
David’s decision to step down has created the opportunity for his assistant Rocky Butterworth to take on the A Grade role. Rocky came to us at the end of last season from CBC and had an immediate impact on the playing group.
He has a record of success and is looking forward to continuing the progress made under Marshy as we approach the challenge of Division 3.
Congratulations Rocky on your appointment!

But I thought college teams don't pay players? Wait, that's only college teams with posters on here!

There's no way Iggies could or would be able to pay the $'s Pedler could get. He is a school teacher at Iggies and has a great relationship with 1/2 the team who he taught and coached at school. The club is looking forward to having him on board as assistant coach to David LeMire.

Joe wouldn't be playing there for "the love", sure he teaches at the school but he knows what he could get elsewhere (including where his brother plays). I know of some other high profile players (one from the Amateur league) who have been offered BIG bucks to join the boys at Old Iggies.

Joe will be playing and assisting Dave LeMire. He is currently overseas.
