gdb and I have never clapped eyes on each other in our lives and wouldn't you believe it, we ended up standing next to him and his mates at the pre-match function among 300 people!! Obviously me being in All Blacks gear made me stand out slightly but we said to each other "JAS will never believe this"!!!

Thanks JAS we had a ball (especially me) and celebrated long into the wee small hours. Very unhealthy the next day appropriately. Mr MK went back to the stadium to watch the Wellington Phoenix while I recovered...

gdb you will probably be on your way back soon to make it in time for the GF no doubt.

JAS the All Blacks and Wallabies will be playing a game in Tokyo at the end of next month and then they're doing the northern hemisphere - Wales in Cardiff, Italy in Milan, England in London and the grudge match against France in Marseille. There's a Barbarians match in December in London so busy.

Haha...what a fantastic way to finally meet...I can believe it...I've had the occasional 'it's a small world' experience :D

Hoping some, if not all, the games will be on terrestrial tv in November. Noticed that we're (Ireland) only playing the Aussies, SA and Fiji but not you're guys...did Munster's close call and Howlett and co's Haka last year scare them off? ;) ;))

Wallabies email

The Qantas Wallabies and All Blacks meet for the final time in 2009 when they play the fourth Bledisloe Cup Test this Saturday night in Tokyo. This will be only the second time a Bledisloe Cup has been played outside of Australia, and both teams have spent the week in Tokyo preparing for the match.

It will be a mixed crowd at the National Stadium with Japanese Rugby fans experiencing their first Bledisloe Cup Test, alongside expat Australians and New Zealanders, and Rugby fans who have travelled in specifically for the event.

Kick off is 5.35pm local time (7.35pm AEDT), and in Australia, you can watch the broadcast on Channel 7 or Fox Sports.

Qantas Wallabies coach Robbie Deans has made four personnel and one positional change to the starting line-up from the closing Tri-Nations match in New Zealand last month, with Digby Ioane, Peter Hynes, Ryan Cross and Wycliff Palu in the run-on side, and Adam Ashley-Cooper reverting to fullback in the place of James O’Connor.

The All Blacks have made three changes to their side, with Rodney So’oailo returning to the Number 8 spot, and Sitiveni Sivivatu and Conrad Smith returning from injury to the backline. Dan Carter has currently scored 185 points against Australia and is closing in on the record of Andrew Mehrtens’ on 202 points.

The Qantas Wallabies fly out of Tokyo on Sunday morning to London, and on Tuesday night take on Gloucester, with a 7.45pm kickoff. The team to play on Tuesday night will be announced on arrival in London, and there will be match details on rugby.com.au, so stay tuned.

On Saturday week, the Qantas Wallabies meet England at Twickenham, and Martin Johnson has named a 32 man squad ahead of their internationals against Australia, Argentina and New Zealand with Steve Borthwick as captain, and Jonny Wilkinson and Steve Thompson recalled into the training squad.

That has changed

Berrick Barnes has rolled his ankle and Adam Ashley-Cooper moves to his position. James Connor comes in at full back.

The uppermost reason why we got Foxtel a few years ago. Rugby Union. You could get a pass out and go to the Coopers Alehouse. Coverage starts at 6-30pm our time and yes kick-off time at 7pm is correct.

Berrick Barnes looks also likely to be ruled out for the northern hemisphere tour poor guy.

Is that 7pm kick-off Adelaide time then??? If so what's Thiele planning to watch at 12:35am???
