I'm glad it's over. Although likely to be replace by something worse from America.

How about Channel 9 and their infatuation with Two and a Half Men?

Like a lot of Australian dramas, it was good at the start but went for about 5 seasons too long.

Others that did this:
- Blue Heelers
- McLeods Daughters
- A Country Practice

Amongst many, many others.

I would argue that even Underbelly should have stayed as 1 season.

To often Aussie TV 'flogs a dead horse' with shows like this.

Never got into AS.

But I'm sure Seven has another medical/legal/police procedural drama in the works.

All Rafferty's Heelers? Blue Saints Rules?

:)

I'd even argue it should've been a two-hour movie focusing on the feuding Moran v Williams clans...

A lawyer will be needed to sort out the messy divorce of the Female Cop and the Male Doctor...!

I'm thinking of having a Wombat in the show too... ;)

Used to watch it all the time during the first 2-3 seasons, then lost interest, but have got back into it over the last 18 months, stopped watching cos the story lines go a bit close to home a few times.

Watched the last 30 mins last night (thanks to ETSA for the power going off halfway thru rafters) and was disappointed with how it ended, was almost like it was left open ended for a possible spin off or return.
Trust the process.

Future 'event telemovies?'

Like BlackJack (Colin Friels), Halifax (Rebecca Gibney) and Small Claims (Claudia Karvan) a few years ago.

Wouldn't surprise because AS consistently pulled a million plus viewers.

Even in it's dying days.

Though sometimes it's best not to resuscitate a patient...
