Cheers - I remembered the euphoria - not so much the details

i recall a glenelg v west game at glenelg (late 80's-early 90's) where west led by about 7 goals at 3/4 time & glenelg got out of the game with a draw & david marshall kicked the last goal to 'snatch a draw'

Could that be the game against the Warriors at Woodville, 1990?

Glenelg beat Woodville by a point after being 5-7 goals down just about all day. Remember listening to it on the radio as if it was yesterday.

IIRC, Woodville kicked the first goal of the last quarter to go 40 points up...

Reakon it was 1990 when Glenelg's ressies were belting Port in the 2nd Semi and Torrens in the Prelim.
IIRC, the Tigers were up by ten goals against the Eagles at one stage?
But lost both.
Port led West by about nine goals in a league match under lights at Footy Park, 1994.
Scott Simister took a big grab with not much time left and kicked the winning goal.
The obituaries that appeared the next day were a little premature...i recall a glenelg v west game at glenelg (late 80's-early 90's) where west led by about 7 goals at 3/4 time & glenelg got out of the game with a draw & david marshall kicked the last goal to 'snatch a draw'

jim west kicked the winning goal & kym hodgeman was the first one jumping up into west's embrace however i always thought it was a pre-season game but the scores given seem about right (on memory)....always remembered it but didn't realise it was a double header
as for the lights going out i don't know if it was the same game but i reckon we led by a couple of goals early then the lights went out & the players went back to their respective races until the lights came on again
