Mongrels.

Of course they're mongrels. If they weren't, they'd be driving out to Norwood now wouldn't they.

A mate of mine who works in welfare reckons he often goes to these "kids" houses and sees brand new plasma screens hanging on the walls. $4000 well spent by the parents, will keep the kids occupied til they are 18. FFS!

Teachers don't get payed jack shit compared to other "professional" public service jobs in SA, their pay is quite reasonable, and if converted to an hourly rate of "real time" worked, you would find it looks even better.

25% of the teachers since my kids have been at school seem to be there for the right reasons, the majority don't seem to care and just go with the flow, as long as it's easy, and there is a small percentage that do more damage to a kid than if they hadn't gone to school at all, fortunatly we've only had to deal with one of them for one year.

I am sick of all this "Halloween" crap that has been going on.

Halloween sales, Halloween specials, trick-or-treating, hollowed-out pumpkin heads - arrrgh.

It is an American holiday (a stupid one, at that) that is built up for commercial purposes only. Christmas is the same, but at least Christmas has some meaning....

My sisters kids, and the other children in the neighbourhood up there (Ironbank way) apparently get a real buzz out of it, and I think anything harmless that is enjoyable for little ones is a good thing.
