I'm not liking what i'm hearing.
Achee- retired.
Perry- leaving interstate.
Murray- not keen on staying.
Micklejon- Not keen on staying.
How many more?????

They should watch out Ronny Fuller is hot on the blower.

I hear A Jarman is hot on this blokes tail to get him to Perth!!

Jarman is going to need more than that to save next season. Already a couple of top players have walked.

Mieklejohn is staying in Adelaide as far as I know and is close to suiting up for another SANFL club for next year.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

At least they'll improve on the field next year then.

The same Matt Lokan who would be a walk up start in the Norwood side?

And Greg Edwards stated on 5AA last week, the club has until November 15 to pay the player contracts. It is his expectation that it will be done.

Might have been a good PR exercise to pay them early................if they had the money that is, might have squashed a few rumours too!
Not a bad idea, why didn't I think of that!

Being only 25 & 27 respectevly, country footy would be a huge dissapointment, the both have plenty of time for that.

Have it on good word that Murray is basically signed at Centrals......

Micklejon has attracted attention from alot of other clubs, but has a year left on his contract at Port.

Brad Murray going home to country Victoria, and Joel Perry heading back to Melbourne (he has a long term girlfriend there).

Seriously, would any of the players mentioned in this thread be such a great loss?

Eighth place with four wins suggests otherwise...

Port Adelaide cannot afford to lose any of the players in this thread. 8th place was achieved through filling the league side with kids (good move) and playing them against men. There is going to be a MASSIVE leadership dearth in 2010.

too true, you can't afford to lose the few experienced players you have. I rate all of them bar Lokan, who was an undisciplined example for the younger players. He might end up at a country club next year near Murray Bridge but not with Clive baby.

Murray, Ahchee and Perry were all in the Top 5 of the B & F so they are big losses.... I dont think Lokan will go anywhere. He gets along well with Tony so i think he will sticking around.
