There has been a dropping off of characters ... what about the days of Brenton and Red Hill, Stormie Normie Tarca, Mark Guimelli, 'Crasher' Daly, Sven Holm (dirtiest bloke to win a medal!), Brenton Smith, Strop Kuchel ... talk about hard, they'd make today's 'hard men' change the jocks regularly! Bring back the biff!

now your talking GDK and add barty, gary duffield, even gary dawe when you upset him, just to name a few :D

Can't remember guessing who wolfpants was, but I was sure from the start he was a shanty when he started sticking up for shanty. Dunno, just put 2 and 2 together.

What about Tony Belham as a tough guy. Didn't he belt Geoff Hampton in the 1987 B grade grand final?

2 + 2 = 4, which is 1 more than the number of flags won this year by the Devils (That one was for you Doc!!!!)

Ronzo, I'd rather be winning and have everyone hate us, than be losing and have everyone hate us like you shantys.

And this talk about shutz (45 for Loby) being a hard man and never shirking an issue gets a massive whatever 2pac. He wasn't so hard when Rob O'Gorman smacked his jaw into Mylor making the big princess cry!!!

GDK, that tosser schultz is far drom a hard nut. he's a worse sniper than most of shanty put together. he was acting all tough until he messed with wrong devil this year. after he woke up he staggered of with a broken jaw i believe. interesting to see whether he acts the same way against us, or any team next year.

as far as hard nuts, burch, sodomka (a couple of years ago), johnny richter played abit for devs, he was tough as nails, beverlander doesnt run away from much. none of these blokes are what you call scary though.

I reckon that bloke at Loby is a pretty tough nut (45?) goes in hard and never shirks an issue!
Seriously, tough don't always mean scaring blokes unfairly, reckon that Brad Burch bloke is one of the hardest guys going around Central.

GD i deffinately agree with you on Burch, puts his body on the line in every contest and not in a dirty way. I agree that 45 (Schutz) apears to be a tough guy, but lets be honest, who cant go around hitting guys behind play. I have even witnessed him blatantly tripping an opponent 15-20 metres away from the play. He was the sniper talked about recently on the forum who initiated his usual dirty ways but was deffinately not the one to finish it. Both players involved did leave the field for different reasons.
Would rate wags (hahndorf) and Jason King as a couple of other hard nut players. Jack Bevelander is another.

Schutz is the most gutless footballer to play in the HFL for the past 10 years or so. Saw him once hit that gun small aboriginal from Onkas (not Goldsmith) a few years back in a final and the bloke went back at him and he absolutely cr$pped himself.

Butchy was only tough to your old man Special K. He had the wood over him and they both knew it.

Good to hear some footy talk on here and not just DA sledging B/Water.
They are all tough and i have had a run in with most.
But for most of you Central guys i have played in both divs and Daniel Tapp from Kersbrook is as mad as a meat axe. They reckon fairly quiet off field though.
Llewelyn that bloke is tiny and couldn't believe it when he fronted up to bigger blokes. i bet he has been on the wrong side of a few tussles doing that.
