Bcos US are the Redbacks, Remember ? The team that got bowled out for 31 a few years ago and made Bracken look like a superstar.

The Redbacks are capable of ANYTHING except playing consistent high quality cricket.

Not writing off Tait completely but he is not a thinking cricketer. He is all about pace and if he is down in that area he is not going to cause problems at first class level. Has to be bowling consistently in the 150km range to be dangerous.

Just looking at the lineup, I'm not convinced we're batting in the right order - Manou at 4 is too high, and then with Tait at 9 we have a very long tail. We don't seem to have any balance to our side IMO and our mix is a bit skewed.

There is nothing wrong with Tait batting at 9. While it would be nice, if you are relying on your no. 9 to make runs all the time, then you really are in trouble. The 8 in front of him should be making the runs and imo are not in the right order.

There is a lot wrong with a bloke like Tait batting at nine. The way he got out in the circumstance he did today for example. He is a born number 11. At least George and Haberfield tried and looked like they gave a sh1t. Yet to see Tait get in behind a delivery. Dishes it out but can't take it. Pretend tough guy.

Manou isn't a number 4! He's a wicket keeper who bats reasonably well at 6, ideally 7, but the batting order shouldn't be based around him.

Will put my hand up that I've been as big as a Tait fan as anybody but it appears his heart really is not in it.
Wonder if the truth is known about how his shoulder injury from 4 years ago really happened.

you Blokes are writing Taity off and SA off already, and it is only the 22nd of october.
Taity has bowled 18 in about 4 months and with a couple of runs will be better. and is our best bowler by a mile. and as for SA they are renowned for slow starts, last year i think they won 1 of the first 5 Ford Ranger games, they will be right.

I'm not writing SA off at all. In the format that actually counts we are top of the table. I am writing Tait off however. Doesn't want to play real cricket

You absolute spuds. Here I was hoping to watch some cricket but by the time I tuned in you blokes had already lost! Still, all is not lost...you still have two matches to play against my mob and we haven't won a one dayer since Rick McCosker was playing.

I'm more inclined to think that he doesn't have the aerobic capacity to play the longer version game. If the first two FRC games are anything to go by, he doesn't have the lethal pace to cause the damage that he did before, you can't bowl that erratic at mid 130's, you can get away with it at 150+.
I hope he finds it again, he is an excellent x-factor when on song, I'd rather see him just play the shorter versions of the game than not at all.
